The African Movement is a project released by DG Records, an independent record label in the Netherlands.

The goal of this project is to help Africa. 

The African Movement was founded by Denis Graca, a Cape Verdean singer, song-writer, and producer, who through his journey in Africa,

saw the contemporary need in the continent and wanted to help through music. 

The movement just released its first single, Ja Bo Cre Mas (Craving for More), on May 20, 2011, in hope of many more to follow.

BIOGRAPHY
DENIS GRAÇA
Born on February 5, in the island of São Vicente, Cabo Verde, Denis Graça discovered
his musical talents at just six years old when he began singing for fun. At eleven, he
immigrated with his mother to the Netherlands where he formed an R&B group with
two other contenders.
It wasn't too long until his talent was noted by the Cape Verdean group sensation
Splash, becoming later a member in1998. Denis also participated in numerous
musical projects such as Lusodance, Venus, and Cap Sol, launching his career into
the Cape Verdean music scene.
After three successful years with Splash, Denis released his first solo album entitled
"Sonhos" (Dreams) in 2001, produced by Upscale Records, an independent
production company based in Rhode Island, US.
Denis won a ‘Gold Record’ award for selling over 25,000 copies of the album
Sonhos.
The second album (Hoje e bo noite) also produced by Upscale Records came out in
the year 2006.
D.G released his third cd (D.G the album) produced by Nichols for Erogen Music in
the summer of 2008. This album brought the fans a fresh Denis Graca with the
knowledge of 10 years of music.
D.G founded his own record label, DG RECORDS, where he is the main producer. The
record label is based in The Netherlands.
His fourth album “Addicted” is the first released under DG RECORDS IN 2010.
However, he has already produced many songs for artists such as Suzanna Lubrano,
Neuza, etc.
Under DG RECORDS, D.G started another project, ‘The African Movement’ in . The
movement released its first single, ‘Ja Bo Cre Mas’ (Craving for More), on May 20,
2011.
Cape Verdean Music Awards (CVMA) nominated the single, Ja Bo Cre Mas, ‘The Best
Song of The Year ‘and’ The Best House Track of the year.
We won the best house track of that year.
In 2012 D.G’s fifth album (Collector’s Item) was released under DG RECORDS.
An Album Produced for 90% by Denis Graça.
In April 2014 DG released his 6th album ‘Self Made’ an album totally produced by him
and brought out by DG RECORDS.
In 2014 DG RECORDS sign a new female singer by the name of ‘Suzana Dutra’, an
Angolan young lady with a mature voice. Her album will come in May of the same
year.
Singing at party’s and festivals all over the world, Denis Graça is now preparing his
7th album that will be an acoustic cd.
