Denney brings an hour of his finest house and techno cuts for this week’s LWE mix. 

Crowned by Mixmag as the youngest ever ‘Future Hero’, London-based @denney had his first hit ‘Ultraviolet’ released back in 2013 under the renowned Hot Creations imprint. This release led to support from Sasha, Seth Troxler, Pete Tong and many others. Since then, he’s found himself performing worldwide, including at DC10 and Amnesia in Ibiza. Denney has also released music with Crosstown Rebels, Relief, and many others.  

With a unique style of mixing and track selection, Denney travels through a blend of tribal house and deep techno, constructing an effervescent mix for the LWE series.

It's true that hard work and dedication are the key to success, which young North-Eastern star Denney realised in 2012 when his first smash hit 'Ultraviolet' was signed by the infamous Hot Creations camp, leading to huge international success. He was fast named 'Future Hero' in Mixmag and the track held a strong position at Number 1 in the best selling vinyl chart on Juno and gained him support from heavy-weights Sasha, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, MANDY, Pete Tong and many more. 

Prior to this Denney had spent years playing at club nights around the North of England and working for the legendary Back to Basics in Leeds. With hours spent educating himself on music, networking and spending countless hours in the studio he soon began to reap the rewards of his hard work with releases on highly acclaimed labels such as VIVa Music, Saved Records, 2020 Vision and of course Hot Creations. 

Denney's undeniable talents as a DJ have lead him to play all over the world including Europe, Australia and America, with a highlight at the notorious DC10 in Ibiza for Jamie Jones' Paradise. His style is unmistakable with a unique blend of house and techno with a distinct ability to create a special atmosphere. Playing alongside some of the world’s biggest names, Denney has shown a modest, unfaltering style - whether playing a warm up or main room set he always delivers.

2014 has been Denney's biggest year yet. With things moving rapidly from strength to strength he now holds a residency at the club night Back to Basics, which is a huge honour and holds major importance for him. He's also just been signed to NGE Agency, who look after artists such as Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus and Art Department, with an intensive touring schedule including a debut at the legendary Fabric in London already in place for the rest of the year. VIVa boss Steve Lawler is also fully behind the young star signing him to VIVa Music Management, which is sure to open even more doors. His release schedule is also just as busy with releases and remixes coming up on Saved Records, VIVa Music, Hot Creations, Resonance Records, Sidetrak Records and a special anticipated collaboration with Miguel Campbell for his forthcoming album. 

2015 is looking even bigger with a summer residency already confirmed for VIVa Warriors in Ibiza as well as tours being put in place for North and South America. It's safe to say this talented northerner is only at the beginning of his career.

Denney has been bubbling away in the house music scene for a while. Early releases on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations label lead him down a path that saw him release one of the most hyped tracks of 2014. Low Frequency ripped through Ibiza last summer and along with label mate Patrick Topping, the Leeds-based producer was one off the most hotly tipped producers stepping into 2015. With his Pimp Out EP finally getting a release this February, as well as signing to VIVa MUSiC, he's well and truly set up for a packed summer of club and festival shows alongside a summer-long resideny at Viva Warriors. Warming him up in the only way we know how, listen as Denney treats us to 72 minutes of deep house flavours. Turn it up!
