Feels like forever since I’ve released an official mix, but here’s the last one for the year! Childhood is filled with remixes, edits, & blends of some of my favorite songs I’ve listened to and loved as a lil youngin'. It’s also the first time I've included some of my own edits & blends that I’ve been working on over the past few months and some things that were up on my first SoundCloud that a few OG listeners might have heard before it got taken down. If enough people ask for it, I’ll probably release all my edits & blends included in this mix separately! Really hope you guys enjoy this one.

Here’s very a special mix in honor of Valentine’s day.
This was initially a mix for @basedeanor ’s radio show, Wavy Wednesday for Valentine’s day 2017
It was honestly one of my favorite sets to mix so I had to bring it back as a refined mix for my listeners here.

This music is just so nostalgic and I truly believe I missed out living as a teen at the time this music was around

2018 was full of so many blessings for me: I graduated college, landed a full time job that I love, and my friends and fam all remained in good health. From a birds eye view things were great, yet something inside felt incomplete. It felt dark. Too often I let that feeling consume me, resulting in self destructive behavior and at times a lack of empathy for those around me.

The purpose of this mix was to help myself and others come out of that dark place and to be reminded that light is there even when you can’t see it. In thinking of a title, I came across the work of James Turrell (s/o Lisa not Kanye lol). Turrell’s work focuses on using light in ways that affect your perception of space/environment. Light isn’t present when you close your eyes, yet in the dream state (especially in a lucid one), your mind can create vivid imagery; light is still present. 

To everyone that feels like they got caught up in a dark place this year, this mix is for you. Light will always exist so long as you seek it. Wishing more blessings for you in 2019 and always. 💡
