Turn Around

We all go through pain and strife in this world,  sometimes we forget that Jesus is present with us through these times. He works all things for good. Pruning hurts but it is ultimately good for the plant, it helps it to grow. Except the Lord's pruning and know He is teaching you and growing you through it all.

Lost and found, when I was young I was bad into drugs, alcohol, and partying. Playing punk shows as much as possible,  sometimes to drunk to even play well. Jesus took ahold of me about 3 and a half years ago and completely changed my life. I hadn't been involved in bands in almost 10 years, but I was still very much into drinking and utterly lost. I am eternally greatful that He reached out to me when I was at my lowest and completely turned my life around. Saved me, saved my marriage, changed the entire dynamic of my family and outlook on life.

Reflection

Hey, my name is Dennis Childress from Amarillo, TX. I moved here from California back in 2009. In Cali I played for years in different punk rock bands and played shows up and down the west coast. Amarillo is a definite dry spot when it comes to punk, so I just started recording some songs on my own. I stopped writing and recording for the last three and a half years. Basically my whole life was changed and turned upside down December of 2017. I was at the bottom, marriage was falling apart and I was a lost wreck. Thankfully family rallied around me and spoke to me the truth about Jesus. I had heard it before, but I never truly heard it until then. I started attending Grace Church in Amarillo, eventually joining the worship team. Fast-forward three years and all the sudden I felt the pull to start writing and recording some punk rock songs.  I don't intend to really do anything with them, they are more for my own entertainment,  but I hope that somehow they may reach someone else who needs to hear the truth about Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life, I am a testimony to that reality. Our worship team has also started recording and releasing songs, our first single You Keep On Getting Better just came out a few days ago. Look up Reverent Grace and give it a listen.
