the inspiration for the concept comes from dennis' trip to japan in 2012. in takayama he visited an old traditional japanese village. it had a story to it which can be read in the bonus items of the ep if you download it.

Magma Waves - Lord Kanamori (2013)

This is my take on eerie background music from a horror videogame. Think Silent Hill and the likes of that. I created three parts, one pure atmosphere, one with rhythm and one is a mix of both with a melody on top.

Imagine an 80s style sidescrolling beat'em up like Final Fight, Vigilante, Violent Force or Streets Of Rage. These kinds of games have shady 80s style music, minimalistic, memorable but not as annoying that it stops you from going on to play after 30 minutes. This is supposed to be one of these kinds of tracks. Think level 1 or 2 for a classical 2D sidescrolling beat'em up!
