Over all these years, going through the motions in busy streets, courts and ballrooms, marching along with the parade, one will see an endless gallery of facades, masks, faux costumes, and contrived personas. Only a sensitive hand can tear down this adhered wallpaper of imitation. Standing under this gleaming sunrise is not an act of defiance, anger, or detachment; it is invitation, albeit a futile one, to see what lies beneath.

Copenhagen-based visual and musical artist øjeRum presents 'Lav Sol', an album of symbolistic landscapes seen through intuition. In his music, Paw Grabowski effortlessly combines traditional, classical themes and motives into contemporary poetic forms. The three long-take recordings of Lav Sol inspire to look for the truth under the surface.

Jason Köhnen (Mansur / The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble / The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation) returns to his experimentations within the realms of Darkjazz with The Lovecraft Sextet’s second full length ’Nights Of Lust’.

’Nights Of Lust’ dives into the wonderful world of (seedy) B-movies and 80s teenage angst films. Inspired by the soundtracks of John Carpenter and Angelo Badalamenti. This time fusing Darkjazz with Synthwave to create a wonderfully unique mutant musical concoction. Think of the movie ‘The Thing’ located in a Twin Peaks scenery with an 80s setting.

The remarkable artwork and its concept is inspired by the 50’s ‘Nights Of Horror’ comic book series by Joe Shusters. The two new music videos for the album are part of a collaboration with Dutch filmmaker Kevin Kessels, using footage from the superb short film ‘Alma’.

This album is the product of recording sessions during late 2013 and most of 2014, and was heavily inspired the Norse discovery of Baffin Island in Canada over a thousand years ago. The Vikings called this new discovery Helluland... "the land of flat stone" in Old Norse.

"Weir" from Pale Ravine, one of the tracks that will for first time appear on vinyl through the 2016, 2xLP edition of the now classic debut album by Deaf Center, originally released on Type records in 2005. Coming this october on Miasmah

‘Pale Ravine’ is the debut full-length realization of Erik K Skodvin and Otto A Totland under the Deaf Center moniker. More recently known for solo recordings under their own names on the Sonic Pieces label. The album, back then made in their mid 20ies, is an other-wordly sound collagé to Norwegian nature, theatricality and old silent films. The two musicians have looked deep into their own family histories to piece together a dusty and nostalgic epic, blending elements of classical and electronic music with an array of field recordings and a lot of fog.
