As a precursor to their debut album ‘Colour Burn’, Dense & Pika issue another taster of their inaugural long player, with the release of ‘Oxbow’.  Chicago house royalty, Ron Trent, serves up a deliciously deep version on the single also.

‘Colour Burn’ is a 13-track composition crossing through downtempo house and electronica, built as a conceptual sonic representation of the pair’s live audio and visual set up. The album is a step away from harder and faster material and a move towards a more leftfield sonic trajectory, featuring a handful of impressive heavyweight musical heroes who have informed the Dense & Pika output. 

‘Oxbow’ smoulders with inspirited melodies and pliable beats, offering up an esoteric atmosphere that showcases the sonic depths that the duo are capable of.

Having been responsible for so many classic jams over the years (‘Altered States’ recorded & released at the age of 16, nuff said!), as well as his productions on Prescription Records, Peacefrog, Future Vision and so many more, Ron Trent is the epitome of classy, deep vibes, and he stamps his sound onto a fantastic remix ‘Oxbow’ with elegance and grace.
