I thought a lot about how to do this. I am aware that the “right” thing would have been to mix this in a cleaner and club-friendlier way. I ended up leaving it dirty and crunchy, but it is sounding very beautiful to me. 

While I made this on my laptop it was raining outside. It reminded me of playing the Zelda series as a kid, being covered under warm blankets while it was cold and rainy on the outside. That is what this track is about. 

I hope it resonates with some of you.

Flume – Heater X Insane (Den Solo Live Remake)

I combined Kanyes approach to producing with Deadmau5 sound design and the result of that is this.

I saw this interview in which Kanye explained that he has a vision for tracks and then gets the best of their fields to help him bring that to life. I also watched the deadmau5 razer tutorial series for the 20th time and thought the 2 approaches might fit great together.
I got my friend VDG, told him about my vision and the direction I'm going for, had him play random melodies until his fingers hurt and then produced a full piece out of a 5 bar loop.
It became an electronic orchestra and I think it is beautiful.

It took me way too long, but I'm glad with how analog sounding the stranger things parts ended up - for someone who only has a computer at their disposal.
They may not be exactly mixed "right", but I like them a bit muddy.

Hey y'all
I got exited when I saw that Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park set up a remix contest for his EP. I've been a huge lover of his and Linkin Parks music so it's suuuper cool to get a chance to do something with his work.

Yeah, then today my project got deleted.

I put my coffee machine on heat and tried to get the best out of in the short time that was left.

I'm writting this while the deadline is few minutes away.

Hope I got to catch up at least a bit.

Over Again (Den Solo Remix) #RemixPostTraumatic

Sometime last year, a girl from the internet sent me a German music video. She didn't even speak German and I generally don't enjoy German music, but when I heard the track, I very quickly fell in love with how dreamy and smooth the vocals sounded and the athmosphere felt.

Somehow, inspiration struck immediately and I did the intro, that first and second drop in maybe 20 minutes total. It normally takes me dozens of hours to get that far.
To make this all into one whole piece of music took me almost half a year after that.

I know it's very niche, because it's kind of ambient and most of all German, but I hope you enjoy it.

Also at some point the original singer heard the remix liked it and sent clean vocals, but I liked the feel of the YouTube Rip and kept it lol
