Den Sorte Skole & the Danish National Chamber Orchestra 

In early June 2014, we played the first of three planned symphonies with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra in the grand DR Concert Hall. It was a magical experience - at least for us! Den Sorte Skole & the Danish National Chamber Orchestra / Live 2014

A 74 LP mix recorded on four turntables and three mixers with favourites like Neil Young, Company Flow and Afrika Bambaataa. “Lektion # 1” was awarded “Best Danish Hip Hop album of 2005” by the leading Hip Hop magazine in Denmark

DEN SORTE SKOLE - LEKTION #1 (2005)

Early 2008 we finished our second mixtape, “Lektion #2″. A 65 minute collage with hundreds of samples  from all kinds of sources: Spanish International Brigades, British soft porn soundtracks and Turkish women’s liberation anthems to rap legends and doom boom from the deep eighties. An insane wave of hype cought the School and “Lektion #2″ ended up being the best reviewed Danish release in 2008!

DEN SORTE SKOLE - LEKTION #2 (2008)

Ghosts & Robots was build from; our own recordings of synthesizers, drum-machines and effect- modules; vinyl samples from around the world; and elements from pieces co-composed with Karsten Fundal, recorded with Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra and Icelandic choir Staka.
Sampled vocal parts include Chorale Saint-Joseph de Medina de Dakar (Senegal, 1975), Bobby McFerrin (Spain, 2009), Fannie Lou Hamer (US, 1960), Polyphonies Mongo (Congo, 1971), Aisha Devi (Switzerland/Nepal, 2015), Ream Daranoi (Thailand, 1964) and Rara La Bel Fraicheur De L’Anglade (Haiti, 1997).

Our deepest gratitude to all the artists included. We sincerely hope that you find your musical pieces treated with appropriate respect and creativity.
