Previous front woman of what Sound Gaze producer Doug Nunally described as "one of the best bands in Richmond, Virginia”, Deore's  debut EP pivots from the fuzz and pedals of The Talkies into the hums of a dreamy, minimalist lullaby. Sink or Swim is an embodiment of the contradictory and nonlinear human journey of brokenness to spiritual healing. Lyrically, she navigates through topics of heaviness, while the melodies remain gentle and light. The delicate synths and vocal harmonies induce a feeling of being awake while dreaming, while the lyrics allude to feeling emotionally underwater while spiritually on solid ground.  Sink or Swim was recorded in 4 months in her tiny Japanese kitchen on the coast of the East China Sea.
