It was the penultimate sunset at the Concordia research station in Antarctica that inspired this long-form piece.
The arrival of Antarctic night and the winter-over period evoke feelings of contemplation and mystery, as well as a sense of the vastness and unknowns of the world.
Living in conditions that resemble life on another planet brings out the deeper meaning of life and the search for answers to fundamental questions about existence.
When faced with the unknown, you may find yourself drawn to contemplation, reflection and spiritual exploration, and, above all, hope.
One can exist in quiet reflection, pondering the nature of reality and our place within it.
