„Come Easy“ is the first single of the upcoming album by High Heels Breaker. What is „Come Easy“ about?

High Heels Breaker: „I wanted to write a soulful and electronic song with the idea to leave it as empty as possible by using the minimum of music notes and rhythms. Nowadays we are massivly flooded with (social media) data so that I prefer airy Come Easyand empty music.“

How did the collaboration with singer Sarah Palin come about?
High Heels Breaker: “Zurich’s music scene is not that big. We know each other from the cooperation with swiss rapper Big Zis and met thru my mate Sacha Winkler aka Kalabrese. I called her on a monday morning and asked her, if she’s in and if she could write some lyrics in the following 1-2 months. I sent her the track, she agreed and the following friday the vocals were recorded. During the recording session I got goose bumps, her lyrics about an unwanted breakup is just touching.“

Renowned producers and DJs like Dave Aju (label buddy of Nicolas Jaar), David August and Kalabrese just did remixes for Come Easy. Were they inspired rather from the music or the lyrics?

High Heels Breaker: “I think, the song is good, because music, lyrics and vocals are merging. They probably all felt the universal pain, the reduced instrumentation and of course the soul in it. That’s why they were easily convinced of doing a remix...“

With over 7 million plays and counting on YouTube Compuphonic's 2011 collaboration with Marques Toliver, 'Sunset' raised the bar pretty high. Since then Maxime has gone on to produce remixes for the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Gotye even and fellow Belgians The Subs (winning a Red Bull award in the process) and release two acclaimed EPs on Berlin label Exploited.

Now finally Maxime and Marques have reunited for a new EP on Exploited, 'Magical Shoes', and the results are everything we could have hoped for.

Having delivered two huge club hits in 2014 with ’Radio Atlantis’ and ’O Cypres’, Belgian star Compuphonic returns this February with his third EP for Exploited, ‘Magical Shoes’. 2 tracks of sublime House music, the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP sees Compuphonic finally reunited with the Beyoncé approved American singer Marques Toliver, whose vocals previously graced Maxime’s 2012 breakout hit ’Sunset’.

Once again this Transatlantic pairing have struck gold as Compuphonic’s distinctive brand of deeply emotional, nuanced, House Music provides the perfect setting for Marques’ plaintive vocals. With it’s distinctive Korg M1 organ and shuffling beats ‘Magical Shoes’ instantly brings to mind legendary ‘90s New York clubs like The Sound Factory but thanks to Compuphonic’s production skills it goes well beyond that of simple period pastiche and sounds utterly fresh for 2015, a bonafide club hit that is already peppering the sets of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Tensnake and The Magician.

As the title suggests the EP’s 2nd track ‘The Sun Does Rise’ is the natural successor to the duo’s previous outing. As deep as the Pacific Ocean this is a trance inducing hymn to hope, music designed to elevate the soul as much as move the body and bring some much needed warmth back to clubland. Expect to hear this played everywhere and anywhere this year where the party goes through the night and the first morning light breaks over the dancefloor.

PRIMAL

Primal is an Icelandic electronic music producer and Dj based in Copenhagen.
The past few years, Primal has been involved with an electronic music project by the name of Kúra, featuring the Icelandic singer Fanney Osk.

Kúra, which became a widely recognized electronic act in northern Europe, offered an opportunity to explore new areas, ideas and genres. 
He eventually got introduced to the underground techno society by Just This crew.

Primal was then inspired to evolve his soundscape in new directions, resulting in a previously unexplored, darker universe with hypnotizing melancholic rhythms and heavy bass-lines.
The man behind Primal, Brynjar Bjarnfoss, was born in Reykjavík, Iceland where spent his early childhood years.

Since moving to Copenhagen at an early age, the music was always on the agenda. As a young adult he quickly got recognition in the Copenhagen underground electronic scene. He rapidly became a re-occurring act at various well renowned events, such as; Roskilde Festival, Distortion, Stella Polaris, STRØM and numerous clubs across Europe. He is currently featured as a newly implemented act of the Milano based Just This movement, and has recently cofounded the Just This record label.

Landside is the  debut collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra.
The sound draws as much from the deep vibe and  melancholy ambience of Kúraʼs  reflective, dubby moods, as the more insistent groove of Hunter/Game's dancefloor roots.
Fanney Osk 's vocals  are like clear warm breath in a cold mountain breeze.  
Vibrating  waves are set against synths and melodic leads that break the languid feel like the arrival of an intense storm.

In this first remix EP, two wildly different producers offer up their own original takes.   
Max Cooper's remix is as gorgeous and melodic as always, setting Fanney's vocals floating over a sea of warm synth work and surprisingly driving percussion.  Benjamin  Damage, meanwhile, fires hard into the dancefloor, digging  a channel of tough grooves  within the ambient melodies and mellow vocals.
