After having sat on the idea for the last 2 years, I thought there no better place to try my first all original productions set than for the opening of the main stage at Interstellar Groove Festival 2022.

Having opened the main stage at 4pm on Friday at what has been one of my favourite festivals to date was such a perfect experience and couldn't be any more thankful to all my friends and punters who showed their support to kick off the weekend with a bang.

Interstellar Groove Festival 2022 - Main Stage Opening Set (All Originals)

Dragon Dreaming 2022 - this festival was the first party I ever attended many years ago, the first time I ever played a set completely made up of my own creations and a place that has shaped my life and sound in so many ways. Seeing it flying again after three long years on hiatus and being reunited with so many special people was an absolute treat. The lake was full, the skies were blue, the grass was green and there were smiles all around. This is a recording of the icing on the cake, being given the privilege of playing the closing set on the main stage was a real full circle moment for me, and one I will always cherish, so thank you to the organisers and everyone who was there for the whole weekend and made it so bloody special. Some new music recorded live last weekend in Melbourne with Doppel and all my buddies. 
It was tricky mixing in front of a tin shed so it isn't the damn perfection I seek, but I was still happy with the result and now challenge myself to let go of this one before its too late and i change my mind 😅. Lots of new and unfinished things ,it never ends really. 

Knowing whether or not it went the way I intended, there were still plenty of nice moments of rawness and the unexpected, like a strange but beautiful dream, enjoy my friends, I hope the music finds you at the right time❤️

TobyBoston & Baksta came together to produce an application mix for the fresh new festival on the summer circuit, Interstellar Groove. With a heavy influence of progressive sounds the guys put their spin on a three hour mix of what they felt would fit the vibe of the event. The line up is now finalised for the 2023 edition, so we thought we would get our application online for all to hear.

Devotion to the art of creating music along with an undeniable presence of synchronicity has brought this mix to you.
I had only just discovered Flow Sessions and was just a couple of weeks deep into exploring the collection of mixes, when I was invited to put together my own Flow Session recording. I was genuinely taken by surprise. Was this a sign? Not sure, however, I was humbled to be asked to contribute to this curation of world class music.
Releasing this 3 hour and 33 minute long mix, on the 3rd day, of the 3rd month of the year, at 33 years of age seems again, mystically fitting and I am thankful for the alignment. Though it has been a busy year in the studio, this is the first music that I have shared publicly in over a year, and i feel a great sense of relief to finally let go and allow it to be heard by an audience other than my cat. :)
This set features all original tracks, made with love, and woven together in hope of portraying what I feel is the essence of the past year. For many of us 2020 was a time of both fear and uncertainty, hope and re-discovery; surrendering to change through darker times, and finally moving forward into the light. The idea was to capture a reflection of a personal journey through our recent past and into the brighter present. 
Thank you again to Flow Sessions and all those who contribute to help support artists during this time. It has truly been both a pleasure and a ride to create this set for you all. I wish you all love and good times ahead. May we all dance together soon!
