My social dilemma
It should be a day of memorial to an old friend who died 9 years ago on September 17th. By car accident. 
I planned visiting him on his grave like I did it all those years before.. 2 years ago I made it possible to go there with a happy smile because I finally could deal with his death after I made a course with a friend where I could finally forgive him and myself for his death happened because i was so angry on him and myself (Big Thanks to Dominik, The Joyful Samurai, Link at the end of this Text) 
But today was everything different.
My girlfriend and I planned our date night to watch the Netflix documentary "the social dilemma". 
My girlfriend was lighting up a candle from my grandma I lost some months too. And she wanted me to tell a beautiful story about my grandma. But I didn't feel comfortable with it, maybe because my mind knew that today was a special day for me and I probably wasn't ready for it to tell it in this constellation. From that point on everything changed and my own social dilemma began.. I realized that I "forgot" to visit my friend on his grave. I felt like the worst human ever and I was so sorry. 
And for the first time in 9 years I didn't go there on his date of death. 
But after 60 minutes of thinking about why I could be so stupid I finally began to watch the documentation attentively and realized that I was manipulated when I went home from work by the social media.
I love to watch JP performance after work because I am totally into cars and I love his channel on YouTube since he started it. But like the Algorythm wants it- I was clicking On the next video and the next video and and and.. So time flew away and I couldn't make it to think about that I normally wanted to visit him. 
And this broke my heart in thousands of pieces, especially after I watched the documentation I realized more and more how it fucked our day with my friend on his grave.. Words can't describe how I could hurt myself so hard even though I didn't even know that I am hurting myself in the moment. But the worst thing about it? I began to ask myself what I am going to do in my future because I love to play music as a Dj and for me would be the best if I can live from this passion. 
But what's the worst point that makes it so hard now? The name that I have chosen as a Dj is actually influenced from my friend I wanted to visit on his grave, he kind of gave it to me when we where kids, I called him faty and he called me Milchmann because my nickname on games was Milchmann too. 
So I decided to carry something that reminds me where I came from and kind of giving myself a feeling that someone is always next to me when I play music. So I actually don't know how I should handle this social media stuff combined with my wish to grow as a Dj and also as a producer. 
Is it even possible to grow without making social media like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook? Should I stop djing? Should I stop and delete those apps on my phone but do like 3 LAST posts where I clearly say if you wanna know anything about me write me to this email? Should I go back to the roots and send mixtapes on CDs and USB sticks by the post office to people and clubs? And should I start flying over cities and throw some flyers and stickers from myself down to the street to get attention? Or is it just the new normal to be so close with social media in this world? Is it good to do it the same way as I did before? Is it just me and my attitude I have to adjust? Can I win against the scary algorithms and mind tricks social media is giving us?
I really don't know, but I have to change something.
