For their ninth release, Redstone Press welcomes Tano to the roster, accompanied by remixes from Toumba & Delay Grounds. Having all embarked on making music around the same time and connecting through sharing said music, it felt only fitting to bring them together for this release.

Delay Grounds' remix of "Blend of Poetry" closes out the EP, taking it to new stratospheric heights. Elemental staccato synths hover above expertly balanced drums and bass, reaching a fever pitch of ecstatic euphoria. Through the subtle introduction of airy percussion, the track culminates in a classic, tranced-out breakdown adorned with bright luminescent horns and pulsating sub-bass.

Their tracks have had Multiple airings on Tom Ravenscrofts BBC 6 show, and garnering attention from acts like Solid Blake, CEM, SALOME, Laurel Halo, Mumdance, TraTraTrax, Ciel, Opium Hum and Sinistarr and many more.

They run affected in Copenhagen, working on expanding the expectations for club experiences by putting on raves and releasing music via their label. HEDO HYDR8 and affected have previously invited acts like UNIIQU3, RAIDERS (DJ FUCKS HIMSELF, Young Lychee and $ombi), LCY, Pearson Sound, Low Jack and Omon Breaker.

With their profound take on electronic music, Animistic Beliefs have steadily solidified their spot in the global underground. Influenced by cultural concepts such as ancestry, animism and mythology, as well as the languages of political techno, punk, bubbling and IDM. ‘Animism’ is the idea found in indigenous belief systems that all objects, creatures and places possess a spiritual essence. Pre-colonial thought, traditions and music connected with Marvin’s Moluccan and Linh’s Vietnamese-Chinese heritage are key inspirations and tools through which the duo explore their experience as queer POC living in the Netherlands.

Across these eight tracks, you’ll find flickers of paranoia (Snakes & Grassers), clarity (Internal Bliss), bounce (Bring The Funk), and fractured sentiment (Sending My Love). From the reptilian weight of Komodo to the space and silence of Blank Paper, each track moves its own way. Switchboard scrambles the signal; Get It Get Gone finishes the thought and exits without fanfare.

No formula. No confirmation. Just another chapter in ESAF’s ongoing refusal to play it safe.
