We made love in more places than stories allow,
between journeys, empty towns, and hotel room vows.
I mapped every fear you still haven’t named,
you’ll never know you the way that I claimed.
We spoke without words—louder than sound.
We built a whole life without solid ground.
We flew past the limits of what they permit,
two bodies in flames, refusing to quit.
We weren’t just lovers—we fought to stay whole,
and drowned in the places we gave too much soul.
Touching too much...
still left us needing more...

I held you through storms, your face in my hands.
You watched me collapse, still trying to stand.
We loved so hard we turned love into pain.
We lost ourselves with no way back again.
We saw things together no one will believe.
We shared all the beauty, the lies, the disease.
We dreamt like the mad, we prayed like the blind.
We broke what we touched, yet we still tried.
We had the whole sky, and still we would choke,
like drowning on air, like breathing in smoke.
And still, I'd go back to the edge of that night,
where I was your answer, and you were my light.

How cruel that true love still fades into gray,
that the strongest of flames just burns away.
We reached the last step, but the rope wouldn’t hold—
we were inches from gold, but too broken, too cold.
No kiss can fix what surrender denies.
No promise survives when a part of you hides.
But even if we live as strangers or ghosts…
what we burned still lives in us both.

We gave all the madness, the flesh and the trust,
we lived through a time that demanded too much.
We were from different planets, skin, minds, and names—
but still we collided and burned just the same.
And when we are with someone,
we’ll still hear the echo of all that we’ve done.
We weren’t just a phase, we weren’t some cliché—
we were real in a world that throws love away.
No matter who touches your hand from now on,
they’ll never quite reach where I’ve been and gone.
Some parts of the heart don’t open again—
you'll search for me there, and feel the end.

How sad that love isn’t always enough,
you buried yours and called silence "enough"
You ran from yourself, not from my arms—
and called your own terror the shape of my harm.
But even if you erase me with time,
if I’m just a name you drink into wine,
when silence gets loud and you’re lost in the frost…
remember we burned — and we both lost...

You weren’t destroyed by the man that I was,
it was your own demons that rewrote the cause.
I broke in your hands, but I broke out of trust—
you ran from a war you abandoned for dust.
You said I hurt you, but you were the blade.
Calling it courage was your great escape.
But loving another begins with yourself—
blaming the mirror won't make it reflect.

We grew up together, too fast, side by side.
We fought battles no child should have to survive.
We built who we are with each other’s pain,
you wrote on my soul, and I carved in your name.
We loved in a way no one understands,
more than our bodies, more than our plans.
But now I walk roads you won’t make me leave,
not even you—my biggest defeat.
I hope when regret finally whispers your name,
you don’t break beneath it, you rise from the flame.
And if you do, and you ever return…
I’ve left you a light, where the hallway still turns.

I was chaos, despair, and ruin at best,
but I gave you my all, not what’s left.
I failed in a thousand, unbearable ways—
but I never once left you unloved in those days.
No one will love me the way that you did,
no one will reach where your shadow still lives.
But I’ve chosen my path, and I won’t turn back—
not for the you who still hides in attack.

What we burned
still sleeps in my chest.
It never got loud—
it just never could rest.
And if one day
you come back from your war…
I’ve left you a room
where your name’s on the door.
No one will hold me the way that you did.
No one will reach where your fire still lives.
And even if life puts us oceans apart…
you still own the corner
that shelters my heart.
