Derek Kaye was always intrigued as to how one person could tap into the minds of a room full of people, be it 200 or 20,000 and unify them, transcending a singular moment, taking them into another world. 

He soon cracked the code and became resident at Australia's multi-award winning and globally recognised house music brand and record label, Onelove. He has subsequently headlined at some of the world’s most renowned clubs, festivals, and radio shows including Stereosonic (Aus), Respect Is Burning (FR), Kiss FM, Global Radio (UK), Cafe Mambo (IBZ), Nammos/Karma Kandara Beach Club (BALI), Fashion Week (Amsterdam), FTV Fashion TV, Global Gathering (UK), Summadayze (AUS), Parklife (AUS), Good Vibrations (UK), Famous (AUS), Ping-Pong (161), Attica (SG), Centro (JK), LINA (AUS), Azteca (AUS), and many more. 

He was the first Australian DJ to lay down his music arsenal for Australia's #1 and the world's #4 festival, Future Music Festival compilation alongside friend, DJ/Producer Chris Lake.

Along the way, he’s worked alongside industry heavyweights including the godfather of house music Marshall Jefferson, Erick Morillo, Armand Van Helden, Diplo, Carl Cox, Bob Sinclar, Sven Vath, François Kervorkian, Felix Da Housecat, Roger Sanchez, Junior Sanchez, Harry Romero, Sander Kleinenberg, Eric Powell, M.I.A, DJ Maseo, A$AP Ferg, and Childish Gambino, to name but a few. Clearly, his music repertoire knows no bounds.

His original work 'THIS IS' under the alias of 'WHITEHEAT' was supported and played globally by Carl Cox, Slam, Junior Sanchez, and Felix Da Housecat. In the studio he has remixed globally recognised Italian house music sensation Black Box's single, 'Everybody, Everybody', and NME award winning English indie-rock band The Wombats single, 'Let's Dance to Joy Division'.

Derek is now collaborating exclusively on special projects/events and has a unique way of connecting with and interpreting a brand’s cultural DNA. His artistic talent is manifested through a bird’s-eye view on global trends from the luxury market through to streetwear and he brings this together with his inherent love of music to everything he does.
