On April 18, 2014 the Sonic Measures class at the University of Pennsylvania performed at the Print Center in Philadelphia.
This performance starts with audio recorded in the Philadelphia subway with the sound of a flautist playing and transforms into a landscape of the vibrations of string instruments. 
Terry Adkins, the founder of the Sonic Measures course, is the inspiration for this piece as he lead by example by fervently performing his music and advocating the creation of sound as a sculptural force. 

In Memoriam (Sonic Measures)

Recorded by traveling west on I-76 in Philadelphia, this piece was created by using a six inch corrugated drainage pipe as a filter for the recording.
