This is new music that I'm experimenting/learning with, letting it follow from my inspiration and the moment with with heart intent! I've always created music on the basis that I could perform it by myself live exactly how it is recorded and this music is to release that barrier and reintroduce the original spark and inspiration that music has always given/driven me. If it comes back with a need, I will learn to perform it live. Everything was performed, written, and recorded by Derick Howard except the vocal samples of the great Alan Watts speaking. All of which were recorded from random videos on youtube. This song is not for profit and only released as a free stream. Much love!

This is another one I just made from scratch, just going where it wanted to go. This one took some patience and learning to let go so that i can move forward, maybe I'll revisit it one day but there is just so much more to create right now!!!

Derick performs solo as a "One Man Jam Band" by using an audio sampler to record loop tracks ("Live") on his guitar, bass, percussion, and vocals to make the sound of a full band. Recent uploaded tracks are a more production style of music that is completely experimental and made out of the urge to create something without barriers of what can or cannot be performed completely live.

This "One Man Jam Band" has opened up for acts like Gov't Mule, Ekoostik Hookah, Future Rock, and Zac Deputy. He has performed along side acts such as Michael Franti, Keller Williams, The Wailers, Dark Star Orchestra, Arrested Development, and has performed at festivals including Hyperion, Wuhnurth, Springfest, Hoodilidoo, Indiana Jam Bash, Greenstock, River City Rock and Roll Festival, Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival, Hookahnanny, and Hookahville which he has performed at three times now.

Derick has performed at all types of events and venues besides bars and festivals. From coffee/ice cream shops and Cafe's to Restaurants like Apple Bee's, Texas Roadhouse, Max & Erma's, and the Jimmy Buffet chain Cheeseburger In Paradise. As well as events like Weddings and Anniversary's to Private Party's and Hog Roasts. Derick has also done many benefits such as The Relay For Life, The MS Walk, and local community fundraisers.

Although Derick performs mainly around the central and southern Indiana area, he has performed as far east as Miami, FL. and Myrtle Beach, SC. and as far west as Hermosa Beach California.
