A few words for a nearly voiceless work.
Life Music is an emotion filled 13 song instrumental album that parts the waters for a powerful bonus track featuring the boisterous and charismatic Pat Hood!
I'm calling it Life Music in hopes that it brings a spark of life to anyone who hears it. I pray it finds its way to the background of people's lives, inspiring them to take a moment to breathe, reflect, forgive, and to love more intentionally than ever before. I hope it is played in new spaces and provokes stank faces. I hope it heals and gives you all the feels. I know that's a lot to ask for a collection of instrumentals...but that's my prayer. 
It's an album of encouragement that also acknowledges the complexities of real life. With it being instrumental I can technically say it's about anything I want and get away with it lol but it truly is an album representing many raw and personal experiences in my life while simultaneously being interwoven with many concepts from the biblical story. I was really intentional with all the titles and the sounds you'll hear, but at the end of the day it's art, so you definitely have some inspired happy accidents that just worked for me! (Let me know if you catch any of my little influence nuggets or riff references! I'd love to see if anyone figures them all out!

Y'all this has been no easy feat. It has felt like it's taken me a lifetime to finish. (A couple of these songs even got their start back in college!) Between the ups and downs of marriage, kids, work, moves, and well...life, it has been so tough to keep the dream of music alive. Generally speaking, I've found that "life" has a tendency of getting in the way of truly living...and I can't stand that! We were all made for more than mundane existence. The fact that you have life sustaining breath in your lungs, blood that runs, and a heart that beats as you read this is an outrageous miracle in and of itself! I hope that everyone can realize how valuable and beautiful their life truly is and that it's not made that way by their own accomplishments or their sweat equity, but by the one that made them, loves them, and sacrificed everything to be in close relationship with them. Jesus is that one. I hope everyone can experience that relationship. [That'll preach.]
I have had the privilege of working with some very talented people over the years but this project is truly my own and I am proud to have stayed stubborn through the late night recordings and mixings between baby bottles, naps, and diapers. I am just so grateful to my family (especially Megan Torres ) for allowing me to do what I needed to do to get this done and I can't wait to see where it goes!
