"My friend Cody (B Ware) used to send me folders full of beats from new producers every week. I didn’t care for most of them, but whenever I found one I liked, it was always a Dahi beat. This one was actually dropped in a folder accidentally. It had already been released on an early tape of his, but when I heard it I had to flip it. It didn’t belong on my EPs, but I still love the song.”

“Quietly” is my attempt to personify fear in my life. The writing and recording process of this song was very defining for me as an artist. Through it, I had to confront things that I tried to bury down in the tartarus of my sub-conscious. And going toe to toe with your darkest fears is a difficult thing to do, friends. But as a result, I feel like I’m coming out the other side as a better human being. And my hope is that this song can help you fight and defeat the things that hold you down, because that’s what it’s done for me.
