3 QUESTIONS to RAFAEL CERATO:

Q: Tell us about your mix: how did these tracks shape your career?

A: They are my basics, my first influences and my very first vinyls, they gave to me another approach into the electronic music, between acid vibes and melodic emotional vibrations. Without them I will be not a producer actually.

Q: From the Provence to the world. Where´s your favorite spot to DJ?

A: Mmmh, hard to say. But after I played in several countries and citys I think Cape Town in South Africa is just amazing and full of inspiration. But of course, I love the one and only Berlin.

Q: You are producing like a machine. Which Cerato releases are coming the next few days/weeks?

A: Haha right. On 12th May my new EP on Definition Music is coming and another one on Click Records. And of course our DePulse & Cerato track on the 100th Einmusika release, a vinyl edition.

Alessandro Serena aka Wurtz nasce a Genova, in Italia, nel 1990. La sua passione per la musica inizia molto presto, ed essa verrà decisamente influenzata da artisti come Richie Hawtin, Hobo, Gaiser, Adam Beyer e la maggior parte di quei artisti che fanno parte della scena techno - minimal degli ultimi 20 anni. Le prime esperienze in consolle non tardano ad arrivare ed all’età di 18 anni, inizia la carriera da dj di Wurtz nei locali della Riviera Ligure. Si laurea a Milano all’istituto SAE (Sound Audio Engineering) e successivamente inizia a produrre musica propria. Non tardano ad arrivare feedbacks importanti e il supporto di artisti molto noti come Richie Hawtin, Nicole Moudaber, Dubfire, Fabio Florido, Stacey Pullen e Paco Osuna. Di notevole importanza per la crescita artistica di questo ragazzo, sicuramente è stato il grande supporto avuto per il suo remix “The Bullet”, rilasciato sulla label tedesca Bequem Digital, da parte di Richie Hawtin, che lo suonerà per oltre 8 mesi, entrando anche nella Top 10 delle tracce più suonate da lui stesso in giro per tutto il mondo.
Trascorre un anno in Sudamerica, per poi tornare in Europa, più precisamente a Ibiza, dove passa le stagioni estive lavorando e collaborando con realtà importanti come Afterlife / Tale Of Us.
La musica di Wurtz continua ad essere supportata nel corso del tempo, come nuovamente da Richie Hawtin, il quale suona uno dei suoi ultimi lavori (Blackout) al Time Warp 2015.
