Und wieder möchte ich euch auf die kleine Insel Brännö in Schweden entführen. Nach Högt i tak hab ich euch heute eine grandioses Tape meines Freundes TantRut mitgebracht. Ruud ist auch so eine Freundschaft die es nur wegen der Musik gibt. Obwohl wir uns noch nie persönlich über den Weg gelaufen sind … ist es beim Schreiben als würden wir uns bereits seit Jahren kennen. So eine Verbundenheit ohne viel Worte gibt es nur mit der Musik.

Ruud wurde in seiner Berlin-Zeit so intensiv mit dem elektronischen Party-Ding infiziert das es ihn nicht mehr losgelassen hat. Zurück auf Brännö wurde er dann aber auch stark von unserem gemeinsamen Freund Jeanne aka Högt i Tak beeinflusst und hat somit seinen ganz speziellen eigenen Sound entwickelt. 

Seit diesem Jahr startet Ruud aber auch mal so richtig durch. Einige fantastische Gigs auf dem Afrika Burn, gefolgt von Gigs auf Off Sonar Barcelona, letztes Weekend Klassified Festival in Frankreich, dieses Weekend The Garden of Babylon und Ende August geht’s für ihn in die Wüste von Nevada zum Burning Man. 

In den letzten Monaten hat TantRut irgendwie seinen Sound gefunden. Er ist insgesamt etwas flotter und deeper geworden ohne seine Gespür für durchdringende Melodien zu verlieren. Druck mit Herz sozusagen. Für meine kleine Reihe hat er sich auch mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und eine fantastische Reise zusammengestellt.

Ruud ich bin sehr froh das uns die Musik zusammengebracht hat und hoffe das wir uns bald mal persönlich über den Weg laufen werden. Und nun meine liebe Hörer wünsch ich euch einen schönen Schlag von TantRut … genießt den Sommer.
