This song is a COVER of A7X's Clairvoyant Disease! I did not write this song. However, EVERY Instrumental sound you hear except for the drums I tracked my self. That goes for both the rhythm guitars, the solo guitars, the melodies and the intro bass line. I take no credit though for putting together the drum beat.

I went back and re-wrote the entire solo and remastered the track cause I wasn't happy how either sounded. The original solo did really flow very well. It was a good solo, technical solo. But it was is was more focused on speed and didn't fit the track too well. So I wrote one that had more feel to it and think it fits the track now. As far as the master, the original guitars were had too much high end to try and cut through the track. I went back and dialed by on the highs and focused on the mids to help the cut through the mix. I also gave the bass drum more bottem end to feel think kick and raised the snare up in the mix. The original solo was written with the same amps as the rhythm guitars, a Mesa. It didnt cut through the mix too well unless I turned the treble all the way up. That sound was too harsh though so I remastered it with a Marshall amp and think it cuts through good now without being too harsh.

This was the second song I ever wrote once I got into DAW software recording with digital interface for my DAW computer. It was before I starting using VST Amps though. I mic'd up my River Knucklehead Tre into my 16-channel Mackie Onyx with digital firewire interface into my laptop. My DAW software at the time was Tracktion by Mackie. I used my Ibanez TS-808 tube screamer on the right channel to give the right and left guitar a slightly different tone while the left guitar was the natural Rivera distortion. I used Ezdrummer Drumkit from Hell (DFH) on this track and most of my other original tracks. I have since moved to Addictive drums because I like the sound of Addictive a lot more and I think the drum patterns are much more intuitive to use!

So the recorded stems were great to start with. Made a crappy rushed mix. But then wanted to see if I could really clean up using EQ and not compression  in order to retain my dynamics. I think the mix is far greater than the song. I need to track a song that would sound good in this mix.

This is only cover song I will upload that I did not write. This song is Vigil by Lamb of God. I used a backing track though so I all the instrumentals, guitar and bass were tracked by me. The Drums were composed by someone else.

-This is my first soundcloud page that I created. However, I have so many songs to upload that I had to start another page because I have reached my time limit. Check out my other soundcloud page and youtube page. I have created links to both of them! 

-All these particular songs are a one man show! I write, record and produce all my own songs at home. For the drums I use Addictive Drums, and for Guitar I D/I right into my computer through a Mackie Onyx Satellite. From there I run Samplitube as my DAW software and depending on my mood, I can either mic up my Rivera Knucklehead Tre with a SM-57, or more likely than not, I use Amplitube 3.0. Every song on this site is using Amplitube. I have not mic'ed up my own amp outside of band practice in about 4 years. The convince of digital recording is just too good and it sounds great too! For every song on here except for my acoustic (I mic'ed that up and do a D/I) it is a straight line from the guitar into my interface into the computer. No pedal board, rack effect, nothing! Just a straight signal and I handle everything within Amplitube.
