for some time, for so long i’ve been too unstill to focus on my future
out of step, overwhelmed, i have to chart a better course for my life
set sights to explore—to see the world and live within the moment
and i want culture, to meet different groups of people trying new things

i won’t follow a world so hollow

should i write? should i call— to reach out to friends instead of disconnecting
despite blame, ignore fear. i’ll show dignity, respect, and self-reliance

an image of self-progression with reason i found change, purpose, and a new direction

with music, art, and knowledge

forward again—i’m not turning from challenges now stirring or all of the lost dreams that got lost waiting for another day instead of creating, when i was evading my future. i think about my life, weigh my cares, and try to dismiss this growing apathy.

i get lost in wondering where my adult life will lead.

forward again—is my youth fading? i try to define a growing fixation. i face a new world with unanswered questions and i open eyes to this ideal of progression

i look in the sun…and this makes my world glow

our music is thematic, emotional, and noisy. with dreamy, ambient melodies each song induces the sensation that epitomizes the feeling of living in an endless summer hypnosis. our influences include both classical composers (haydn, beethoven) and the modern music underground (southern california surf-punk, d.c. style emo-core). our songs sound mostly like early, romantic-era piano sonatas played with post-hardcore drum beats, heavily distorted/overdriven guitar tones, lots of feedback, and off-key vocals. though the technical skill level of our instrument playing is not our focus, complexity of our songs can be found in composition. each piece has sophisticated verse movement/structure, complex harmonies, and story-like melodies accompanied by deep, metaphorical lyrics.
