我記得從小就沒上過音樂課的我，曾經在16歲時想要在暑假的時候打工賺一點錢讓我自己上鋼琴課。計劃趕不上變化，因為上理工大學時我必須用這一筆錢來買上課時用的電腦。我長了那麼大只有看著其他歌者自彈自唱的份。我呢，也有自彈自唱的時候。。唯一不一樣的是，我在夢裡彈唱而已。

十年前我在第一次在電視上和你們見面時，吉他和鋼琴對我來說是那麼陌生的樂器。我們新加坡人常說 ”我認識她，她不認識我“。呵呵。

我在發行第二張國語專輯後第一次接觸到了鋼琴－三角鋼琴。之前碰它都會覺得我當當不起的一個樂器，我的手指竟然碰了她。當時的我，覺得好對不起她。。好像非禮了她似的。呵！我和我的老師只有4堂課的緣分。我真的不知道她對我做了什麼，可是我就像開了竅似的，回家一直練，不斷的自修。至今，我還是那位沒念過音樂的男孩。

2天前，我即興的把這段錄了下來。突然之間，覺得好開心。因為我不單單自彈自唱了一首歌而已，我的手指和我的歌聲一起跳了舞。我的手指帶著我的歌聲，我的歌聲帶著我的手指，一前一後的唱出了這首歌。原來能和鋼琴共舞是那麼美的一件事。。。我20多年來錯過了好多。不過，遲到好過沒到，對吧？

I'd never had the privilege to have any music lessons (besides using the recorder during music class in Primary School) when I was little. I remember my plan to work during the holidays and save up, then use the money for music lessons when I was 16, I end up using the money to get my academic essentials when I enrolled into Ngee Ann Polytechnic instead. Playing with the keyboard and singing at the same time is something that I watch other people do in awe and something that I see meself doing, in my dreams..

10 years ago when I first meet you guys on TV as a teenager, the guitar and keyboard are still very strange instruments to me. We Singaporeans have a saying when it comes to this - "I know him, he dunno me."

I picked up the keyboard for the first time in my life after I released my 2nd album. I went for 4 lessons with Lotus Piano. She showed me how's it's done. 老師 I absolutely adore you and you have absolutely no idea. I'd been playing the keyboard on my own ever since. Today I'm still the same boy who had never studied music, never been to Berklee or anything remotely close to that.

I'd recorded this on the fly 2 days ago and straight after that I felt so proud of meself, that I played and sang again for another 10 times or so. I was alone in my personal studio, I pressed the keys, I sang my heart out, and in the own world of mine I told meself... I nailed it. I don't care what others think, I N to the A to the I to the L to the E and to the D - NAILED it. So this is how it feels to make love with the piano, it's beautiful. I achieved another one of my dreams. Better late than never.
