I had the opportunity to represent the Chiptunes = WIN community during their month on Weekly Treats, and the result is my ode to caffeine-fueled productivity.  I had a ton of fun writing up this weird guy, and got to do a lot of experimenting with synth design and bassline writing.  All of the instruments are either FL Studio defaults or sampled from the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. It's a beautiful day off the coast of Florida. The setting sun shimmers in the reflections of the coast. The sky radiates a golden hue as a soft breeze blows through the palm trees. Today is the day that the aerospace engineers at NASA have unveiled the world's first cruise ship capable of travelling to space. Festivities are underway as the final preparations are made to make its maiden launch. Whats that? All clear!  Ready for liftoff!

This is the result of my research on how to write songs with constraints similar to those of SEGA Genesis game soundtracks. A final boss battle theme specifically designed for one of the games I'm currently developing as a side-project(a shmup, obviously), and also a love letter to the "Justice Ray" tracks (part 1 to 5) by Hyakutaro Tsukumo.
