We're happy to welcome the debut EP from @biota_official

BIOTA represents the symbiotic coexistence of flora & fauna, bridging ancient & modern, utilizing contrast to create colorful diversity. 
Their journey is exploration of sound and movement, driven by aesthetics of sound art, cinematic atmosphere, psychedelia and the gritty roots of blues and rock&roll.

In Sistema Organico, the Israelian duo Roman Galperin & Moses Chimen deliver a variety of sonic textures, from spacey feedback guitars through tasty analog synths, forest flutes, traditional percussion, shamanic vibes and more delights - all composed into musical moods to dive into.

The whole piece is inspired by the meditative depths of the natural world, a tribute to the forest, the jungle, the great rivers and thoughts about our relationship with them as human beings.

@loekfrey is a name that now sits up there with some of the most exciting talents to have emerged from the Dutch scene in recent times. It's his unique blend of IDM, techno, breakbeat and drum & bass that has turned so many heads, not least with his Decipher album on home label Omen Wapta which was a widescreen soundscape of varying intensities and tempos. His ability to veer from the intricate and experimental to the hallucinatory and vibrant is second to none as he proves with his mix for us this week. 

It is a special one that is fully live and made up entirely of his own productions so makes for a perfect window into his world. Inside you will find 60 atmospheric minutes that soon immerse you in cinematic cosmic ambiance and hurried minimal rhythms embellished with ghoulish voices and dark undertones that unite both body and mind. It's a sleek and linear journey defined by the constant presence of a supple and pulsing bassline that transports you to distant future worlds in style.

Harold is known for their unique warm aura and incredible array of outputs - from DJ’ing, to hosting parties, to running the iconic record label Steeplejack, alongside the radio show and sub label Faultlines.

For this mix, Harold takes us on a two hour deeply emotionally loaded journey, blending glitchy rhythms, sentimental idm and ardent sound scapes, with a psychedelic and outer-worldly thread through it all.

'' I actually was really fascinated by the vocals of the original, so I tried to find a proper translation but it seems that it’s a lost language so I couldn’t find one. This made it even more interesting for me though. It leaves more space for imagination: Is it a song used for rituals where everybody was dancing and had a good time? Is it a sad song which was performed when something bad happened in a tribe? What do you think? Consequently I tried to keep the edit as simple as possible because I wanted the vocals to be the most prominent part of the track. In my opinion, Cosmovision is the best place for this edit and I’m really thankful for them to share it with you/the world <3 As usual I picked 72 beats per minute, so I’m really excited and curious to see how people manage to mix it in a dj-set. Have fun listening and imagining.

estimua came into the downtempo/world scene about a year ago. His mission is to create more tracks that are below 90 BPM, so he started really slow with about 72 BPM. This song is a good example for it. At the same time he is a member of the Berlin downtempo collective called @slowtribe, They've already organized a lot of events at different locations for example with @n-u @peter-power @heimlichaufsc @voodoohop or @kamaimusic

Last december 2019 while on tour in Norway, in one visit to my brother Julius in the middle of the forest where they have this beautiful place with Permaculture, arts Projects and Home; we get inspired by his little pewen trees (araucaria) wich this seeds he bring from Patagonia where this tree is origin.
Sacred for Mapuche, Pehuenche and Tehuelche cultures; is one specie in danger because of the forestal companys that destroy the local species to make paper and wood.
we start to make shaker with the seeds and then play some music all together with Rokaya and Xola..then "araucaria" come.
same month later in Berlin after playing together a showcase with my brother Rodrigo Gallardo, we meet at Organic Studio and we record beautiful quenas and charangos for couple of songs include "Araucaria".
full respect and honor to see this sacred Pehuen growing in far north.

El pasado diciembre de 2019 en tour por Noruega, en una visita a mi hermano Julius en medio del bosque donde tienen este hermoso lugar con Permacultura, Proyectos artísticos y Hogar; Nos inspiramos en sus pequeños árboles de pewen (araucaria) que trae estas semillas de la Patagonia donde se origina este árbol.
Sagrado para las culturas mapuche, pehuenche y tehuelche; Es una especie en peligro debido a las empresas forestales que destruyen las especies locales para hacer papel y madera.
comenzamos a hacer una coctelera con las semillas y luego tocamos música junto con Rokaya y Xola ... luego viene la "araucaria".
El mismo mes después, en Berlín, después de tocar juntos en un escaparate con mi hermano Rodrigo Gallardo, nos encontramos en Organic Studio y grabamos hermosas quenas y charangos para un par de canciones que incluyen "Araucaria".
Respeto y honor completos al ver a este sagrado Pehuen creciendo en el extremo norte.

Laboratorium Pieśni (Laboratoire de Chant) est un groupe international de femmes qui utilisent des techniques chamanique en chanson pour créer un espace sacré, employant la glossolalie et les sons de la nature.

Elles pratiquent le chant polyphonique traditionnel pour utiliser le pouvoir guérisseur de la nature et le féminin sacré. L'expérience est intériorisée, puissante et éthérée, et atteint quelque chose au-delà de ce monde.

Crée à Gdansk en 2013 par Alina Jurczyszyn et Kamila Bigus, Laboratorium Piesni interprète des chants polyphoniques traditionnels de nombreux pays et régions comme l’Ukraine, Les Balkans, la Biélorussie, la Pologne, la Géorgie, la Scandinavie.
