Assalm’s debut LP “Rivera” (out late 2016) receives a complete transformation with “Rivera Remixed”. And as is often the case when remixing an album of such unique character and wide spectrum of influences that range from Techno to Trap and from Electronica to Darksynth/Darkwave can be a very challenging task. Thankfully, Mr. Kristopher, Andreas Rund, Elevn, Z6B3R, Perhopes, Into The Pale Abyss and Aqua Vitae not only answered the call when invited to participate on “Rivera Remixed” but also proved to be the ideal candidates for it, each for their own reasons. The seven artists not only accepted the challenge of remixing Assalm’s originals with all their characteristic atmosphere and deep, dark cinematic weirdness but they completely transformed them into seven explosive Electro remixes while at the same time maintaining some those elements that made the originals stand out.
