A collaboration with the boss Claude VonStroke was something Lubelski knew he had to do around the 'Happy Accidents' project, he just had no idea what direction it might take.   'Ice Cream Cone' is a smooth and sultry answer to that question that feels equal parts Lubelski complexity and VonStroke simplicity, taken to a whole new level by breakthrough vocalist Life on Planets.  It's the kind of track you aren't sure you want your mom to hear you listening to, primed and ready for dance floor romancing with an ear turned towards both clubland's past and future.

'Weiss City Vol 1' showcases this producers vast talent by embracing house music's rich heritage with deep jacking grooves, warm rumbling subs, sweet sharp percussion and delicate vocal treatment. Leading the EP. 'You Treat Me Right' sets the tone with an infectious guitar lick and impassioned vocals on top of a driving but deep bass line. 'Do The Do' is straight up organ house, with an unforgettable melody, vocal cut and sharp percussion. Next up, Weiss delivers the funk with 'My Sister'; one of those tracks you'll have on repeat for weeks on end, the groove is unrivalled on this one! Catz 'n Dogz - Get It Right (Feat. Tanika) (Claude VonStroke Remix) [PETS057]

Having their own track “Over” reinterpreted by the Stories gents at the start of 2015, Walker & Royce step up to return the favor. Taking on the title cut, the NYC-based boys strain the groove until it matches their own stride. Digitaria’s vocals maintain maximum effect here, especially when stacked up with the sashaying rhythm and quirky embellishments being put on display.

What’s Up Desert Hearts Family,

The next EP on the label comes from Hot Creations Queen and long-time friend of the family, Anabel Englund, alongside Desert Hearts mainstay, RYBO. Titled “Call U Rite Back”, this EP is without a doubt the most soulful release on the label thus far.

The A-side is laced up with the sultriest of vocals from Englund while RYBO lays down the perfect beat to match the vibe. It’s deep, it’s poppy, and it’s amazing. The B-Side, “Just For The High”, sees Anabel’s lyrics thrown over a moody tech house beat from RYBO and fellow DH producer, Lubelski. Finally, remix duties come from one of our favorite producers at the moment, UK based Mark Jenkyns. To round out the release, Jenkyns delivers a perfect kick up the ass to “Call U Rite Back”, making it all the more accessible on the dance floor.

We’ve had a lot of unique collaborations on the label, but it’s not every day that we get three top Dirtybird artists that come together in the studio for one super-sized track. Yet, that’s exactly what happened with “Drummer Loco” from Mat.Joe, Kevin Knapp and Maximono.  Living in the same city of Berlin helps, as these three took advantage of the geography and were able to pump out this amazingly funky jam.
