“We are both from San Diego, California & met in a music studio class at uni about 3 years ago. We have released a few things individually, but this is actually the first EP we have done together, even though we have been friends for years & practically live a stones throw away from each other.”
Sly Turner is a 23 year old producer originally from Granite Bay, a small town just east of Sacramento. His influences are drawn from ghetto house, tribal drum elements & all things funk & disco. Shuski is a seasoned veteran behind the decks & has been a staple in the San Diego scene for the last few years.

Making his Desert Hearts Records debut is Alex Kennon with an insanely psychedelic release titled Gentle Water, which includes a remix from one of your favorite heads Wyatt Marshall.

Alex kicks off the release, drizzled with tantalizing percussion and bliss-inducing croons. The tripped out tech producer follows up with the highly infectious 'Fandango' — continuing down the path of psychedelia with guttural soul and kilter tom melodies.

Wyatt Marshall takes the B-side one deeper building his rendition into a sort of modular mayhem while retaining the playful energies of the original.

We are very excited to welcome a long time friend, Beth Lydi, to the label with her Windy Pipes EP.

Windy Pipes kicks the release off with an old school electro vibe complimented by its perky drum rhythms. This one's ingenuity comes in its simplicity.

Beth follows with Paper Shark, making quick use of chipper vocal chops and wonky whistlings. The track is incredibly fun.
