Brooklyn based Ky William lands on Desert Hearts Records with a spiffy 2-track EP. Ky’s rise the last couple of years has been exponential, quickly making a name for himself as a producer and DJ of great talent. His catchy music has been released on labels such as Off The Grid and his own label Andhera Records. His records are getting constant support from big international artists such as Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers and John Summit. 

Ky’s innovative sound has already taken him around the world as a DJ, and he is ready to make some fuzz with the Desert Hearts family. Opening the EP is the groovy title track “One Night Stand”. Energy loaded vocals light up the night accompanied by beautiful balearic guitars and a badass bassline. “Shake” continues the upbeat vibe with tight percussion and a contemporary acid feel. With a slow rise of naughty sounds and layered vocals the tune builds momentum and contours with minimal drops.

Hailing from Hungary but based in Barcelona, Reelow makes his debut on Desert Hearts Records with two heavy hitting and exquisite dance floor tunes. As he is a longtime certified Solid Grooves resident you know his sound is infectious, and his versatile tunes has been released on labels such as Desolat and Elrow Music. 

For the title track of "Break the Rules EP", Reelow has joined forces with the man who's name is on everybody's lips, mr. RAYZIR himself. The energy hits right where it should from the get go. A minimal oriented groove is accompanied by a bouncy bassline and tribal percussions. It has a housy flair while keeping it techy and vivid. Whispering vocals carry us into the elegant and subtle breaks that are countered with fiery drops. 

Reelow is flying solo for the second track of the release. "No Reefound" is cheeky and lively, just what his characteristic sound is celebrated for. It has some wild city sound elements popping up throughout the tune, while chopped and scratched vocal elements underline the incredibly catchy groove. A dirty bassline drives the track forward, keeping the vibe of the track energised and fresh. 

Two excellent tunes showcasing exactly what Reelow is so loved for, his fun style is contagious and we know this is going to create some vibrant moments on dance floors across the globe.

What's up Desert Hearts Family,

I can't believe it's been 10 years since I started Desert Hearts Records. In 2014, I took a leap of faith and started the label, a dream I'd carried since I was a kid. Back then, no one wanted to sign my music. The sting of rejection ultimately caused the spark of determination—if no one else believed in my music, at least I would. Little did I know that decision would change my life in ways I could have never imagined.

Desert Hearts had already begun to blossom as a movement in 2014—our community celebrating house, techno, and love—and the label felt like a natural extension of that spirit. It wasn't just about my music anymore; it was a chance to shine a light on the incredible artists in our family and bring together creators from around the world who shared our vision for something deeper than just the dance floor.

Looking back, I could never have imagined how much this label would come to mean to me. It's been more than a platform; it's been a bridge to some of the most extraordinary people I've ever known. It's taught me about love, resilience, and the power of music that connects us in ways words never can.

This 10th-anniversary compilation is more than just a celebration of the music. It's a celebration of every moment, every artist, and every heart that has made Desert Hearts what it is today. It's a tribute to the community that's grown with us, danced with us, and believed in this dream alongside me.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Here's to a decade of House, Techno, and Love—and the magic that's still to come.
