Timo has been a dominant figure on the electronic scene for many years now.  Hailing from the small town of Buckeburg in Germany, Timo was DJing in the local clubs and in nearby Hannover from the age of 15. As rave culture took off in Germany, Timo latched on to this new musical revolution, DJing not only in his native Germany but also around Europe.  Productions followed, and by the end of the 1990s, Timo was a cranking out releases and big remixes for artists like Azzido Da Bass, Green Velvet, Depeche Mode, Fatboy Slim and many more.

A resident DJ at Ibiza’s DC10 for over ten years, and a DJ schedule that covers the world, Timo is currently busy with his label Rockets & Ponies, a newly released mix album on the My Favourite Robot label, and plenty of DJ dates…

Oh, hello there. It’s been nearly 2 years since I feel I uploaded any kind of ‘meaningful’ mix to my Soundcloud. 

So this is ‘Quantinuity’.  A series of 4 mixes I’ll make over the coming months.  

Without giving over importance to this ‘DJ Mix’ (I’ve hardly re-invented the wheel), some parts of it have been well laboured over, layered with various sounds and thoughts. Whilst other bits are just left alone and 'super-glued’. Whatever I felt was appropriate.

Live @ Desert Hearts - Dance Spirit - 044

Straight up, the boys from Dance Spirit are as OG Desert Hearts as it gets. Reagan and Chris were actually the sole headliners at our very first Desert Hearts gathering playing as their old alias Android Cartel. The pay was cheap, the our hospitality was nonexistent, and the weather was below freezing. But the vibes were THICK.  

It's insane how much of a difference 3 years can make as Dance Spirit is now constantly touring the globe and Desert Hearts is being compared to some of the best festivals in the world. I don't think any of us would have believed this is where we'd be 3 years from that freezing cold night in November 2012, but somehow we did it! Dance Spirit has always been a part of our Desert Hearts Family and we've had them crush live sets at every Anniversary Festival. It's so good to finally release their Live Set from the 2 Year Anniversary and it's even better that we get to host them at our Desert Hearts 3 Year Anniversary Festival this November.
