AZETE, debuts with 'In My Head'; a track that oozes sophistication and intricacy, an emotional groover with laid-back hip-swinging House drums, intricate piano melodies, comforting synths and an uplifting bassline providing a grooving low-end melody and hypnotic vocal utterances of the tracks' title. I first played 'Swagadocious' at Desert Hearts Festival a few years back. Everyone kept asking me to release it, but it was just an idea I was playing with in my live sets. When the pandemic hit I decided I should probably try and finish it and put it out, so it has been a long time in the making to say the least. 'This My Chance' was written in the middle of the pandemic as well, it was just my reflection on the isolation and separation everyone was feeling at the time. It is definitely the most melodic track I have ever released and I am super excited to be putting it on Desert Hearts. Hope y'all enjoy! - @SHADED

Remember when you were just children, trying to build something out of a pile of Lego bricks, and how there was always one annoying brick missing? So often we get the same feeling coming across big compilations: the attempt to remain faithful to a genre or to a label's flavour sets unnecessary borders to a world that should remain borderless. After a strong Truesoul debut last September, Oscar L returns with a triple dose of groove. 

We got our first taste of Oscar L’s talents when he dropped the excellent ‘Konfusion’ EP in late summer 2018, a triple threat of ‘90s inspired house, punchy peak-time tech funk and the Spaniard’s skillful drum work highlighted throughout. As the weather starts to turn in our favour, it’s time to welcome him back to the clan for round two with his ‘Multiplayer’ EP.

The work kicks things off with ‘Monster Tube’, a deep roller that sees chunky percussion rub shoulders with dizzying arpeggiated melody lines. The EP’s title track follows, a cheeky vocal sample bringing verge and energy to the groovy bed of drums that sit beneath. ‘Primewire’ rounds out the triumvirate of tracks, working superbly as a functional and energetic DJ tool.

Lubelski is back with his sophomore release on the label and we couldn't be happier. Straight up, @Lubelski is our boy!. His level of production is rising so fast right now it's insane. When we were putting this EP together, he kept sending over more and more tracks, each one better than the last. We ended up signing four original tracks from him to complete his I Want Acid EP.

The title track is a sinister, psychedelic tech house monster chanting the words “I Want Acid” — making it a no brainer for late night dance floors. The 2nd track on the EP, Just Can't Stop, is an awesome collaboration with Dirtybird artist and Downtown LA homie, Wyatt Marshall. It's powerful and has one of the sickest synth leads we’ve heard on the label so far.

Lubelski follows up with ‘The Counting Game’, a trippy, vocal forward track that counts the 4 beats in a bar to the groove of a razor-edged, slammin' bassline, all before disorienting the rhythm with blasé chord stabs. Finally, Lubelski rounds out the EP with the housiest track on the release titled, ‘Don't Play Around With My Love’, featuring an acid-tinged arpeggiator and a bending synth chord thats as much a modern banger as it is a nostalgic mindfuck into the 80s and 90s.

All in all, Lubelski’s I Want Acid EP is just the way we like it; bouncy and psychedelic.

Germany’s Juliet Sikora returns to Flashmob this summer with two-track houser, ‘Keep on Fire’.
Sikora, co-founder of the Kittball imprint alongside Tube & Berger, has carved out her reputation by making infectious big-room house cuts for the likes of FFRR, Cajual, Relief and Different over the past fourteen years. A consummate DJ who has toured consistently as well as a force to be reckoned with as an A&R, she has a well tested ear for exactly what works in house music.
Debuting on Flashmob last year with the punchy ‘Beat Gang’ EP, Sikora returns to the influential imprint with another two tracks that focus on bottom heavy grooves with hearty results. The chunky, classic beats of ‘Keep on Fire’ lead the charge with some evergreen vocal sampling providing the arrangement with a worthy crescendo while the flip, ‘Here We Go’, takes a more heads down, rolling route to increasingly intense drops over it’s 7 minute span.
