Desert Sparrow blends the cinematic feel of Spaghetti Westerns with dreamy indie folk and dream pop. Formed after a chance encounter at Coachella between Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Krystal and Californian guitarist Dave Carreno, the band’s sound mixes haunting melodies with intricate guitar work. Currently based in Los Angeles, the band expanded their lineup in 2023 with Jarred Ratley (drums) and Josh Adams (multi-instrumentalist); they've drawn comparisons to Mazzy Star, Fleetwood Mac, and Tennis. Their music, praised for its cinematic quality and emotional depth, has earned them recognition in the indie scene, with notable collaborations and new single, "With You", out now.
