This is a live set made exclusively for Victory Beats. "The Glow" features tracks from various Spoq releases all in fresh, unheard versions. The mix seamlessly blends styles like Triphop, Chillout, Ambient Techno, Trap and other genre hybrids with beautiful cinematic elements. 

Spoq is an electronic music project created by songwriter and composer Wolfram Gruss. Since 2014, Spoq has released a vast collection of engaging, intelligent, and experimental tracks. The project is at home in various genres, such as Downtempo, Lofi-Hiphop, Garage, Wave, Ambient, and IDM, but also ventures into new forms of sonic expression. The music is often cinematic and thought-provoking, blending acoustic and classical instruments and melodies with massive beats, crisp electronic percussion, deep synthetic basslines, and atmospheres. Wolfram frequently uses sampled found noises, which he processes into instruments, adding a unique organic feel to the compositions.

However, the project's primary objective is to evoke contrasting emotions. The tracks are complex, both in their sonic depth and dramatic storytelling. Spoq knows like few others to use the power of subtelties to send his audience on an emotional rollercoaster. The music can seamlessly move from a calm and comfortable state to an outburst of surprising happiness or the darkest, saddest moods within one single track. Although Spoq's music may appear sweet and soft, it has a biting edge that makes it an exceptional listening experience.

So, here's my set from the Chillout Gardens at #Boomfestival 2016. So exciting to play there for the first time, a beautiful and crazy experience..!  This was a 12:00 - 14:00 set in the crazy sunshine (shaded..) for some context.. :) Also, in the interests of openness, this is a backup of my set, as I couldn't record the actual set, due to technical issues (and even had to rely on this backup at times). Still, it all come out OK and we shared a magical 2 hours....!! I hope you can find some of that magic here... X

The hum and buzz of summer permeates Bwoy de Bhajan’s streams of challenging but pleasant sounds. The promising producer has a penchant for World Music, but at the same time clearly influenced by Western electronica of the more experimental kind. Despite the drowsy groove of the music, this music has plenty of delicate touches, edgy beats, wonky bass lines and Eastern mystique to get lost in. He is only 20 years of age, but has already sent many crowds into deep hypnosis, and shared the stage with artists varying from Tokimonsta and Daedelus, to Omar Souleyman, Spoek Mathambo or Madlib. He was a nominee for 'Hope of the Year' at last years Steppeulven (Critics) Awards in Denmark.

A reunion that was long overdue took place July 21st, 2019 in Downtown LA at Moontribe Sunday Vibe. It was such a sweet event bringing together the DJs from the first wave of Moontribe events in the 90s and many old school friends and family! It was one for the record books for sure! 

My set was early on coming out of pure beat less ambient music and building up to a more tech/house tempo. My goal here was a welcoming set as people were just arriving and socially connecting. I started off very slow and tribal, with a little push on the tempo each track so it didn't take too long to get groovy, but also I never wanted the set to be too heated. It was a challenging set, but I feel very satisfied with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it too!!!

Late last year, Key-G returned to Desert Trax with his Curled Up Dimensions EP. This summer, Desert Dwellers' label assembles some of the best rising stars and established veterans in the psybreaks and psydub realms for a jam-packed remix collection. 

Standouts from this new remix EP include a sprawling 11-minute journey from UK legend Globular on “Unleashing the Forces.” Instead of slowing things down like they did for their new duo project, Jakare, Halfred and Lo.Renzo return to their midtempo psy roots with remixes of “Quantum Strikes” and “Ascension Upgrade,” respectively. Newcomer Johny Pablo impresses with the “Pinpricks of Light” remix, and Key-G takes on his own “Third Eye Girl” to close out the set

An impressive part of the territory of the South American continent is the largest Amazonian lowland on the planet, occupying almost 5 million km2, in which 9 states are located. Amazonia got its name from the Amazon River that flows through it, the whole vast natural area is also called. A few decades ago, it was entirely covered by a single, largest forest on the planet.
Event today, when cities have been built and roads built, as a result of which a significant part of the lowland has lost its vegetation, it still remains the largest forest in the world.

Desert Dwellers is a pioneering electronic music project that bridges the ancient and the future, fusing deep bass, world instrumentation, and psychedelic textures into immersive sonic journeys. Founded in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, the project grew out of the legendary Moontribe gatherings in the deserts of Southern California and Santa Fe, New Mexicos desert rave scene. 

Blending influences from many genres, Desert Dwellers has released dozens of albums and remixes, toured across five continents, and collaborated with an eclectic array of artists from around the world. Their music has graced stages at Symbiosis, Ozora, Lightning in a Bottle, Boom, Envision, Shambhala, and Burning Man, resonating with audiences through both meditative journeys and powerful dancefloor experiences.

In 2026, Desert Dwellers will enter its most significant evolution yet. Co-founder Amani Friend will be stepping away from touring to focus on studio production and other creative pursuits, while a new collaborator joined the project, acclaimed producer and mixing/mastering engineer Sarkis Mikael. While continuing to honor the project’s signature sound and ethos “Music Beyond Borders,” Desert Dwellers is now expanding into bold new sonic territories.
