In 2014 the bands performing at the Bush Bands Bash include: Kiwirrkurra Band, Running Water Band, Yurampi Boiz, Rayella, Musgrave, North Tanami Band, Barkly Boys and Bleknala Mujik.
The Bush Bands Bash is a MusicNT initiative.

The Desert Feet truck toured through the Ngaanyatjarra Lands in July 2018. Stopping in Jameson, Blackstone, Warnan and Warburton for youth music workshops and band recordings and concerts. 

The noticeable style and genre played by the bands in the central desert falls under 'desert reggae'.
