Aaron Suiss joins forces with Peled and Avian Haviv for his latest three-track release, aptly titled "Your Move." 

As a skilled DJ, producer, and label manager, Aaron Suiss has rapidly ascended the ranks of progressive house since his emergence in 2019. Boasting a consistent stream of releases, he has garnered recognition from esteemed labels such as Einmusika, Dear Deer, UV, and Movement Recordings. Notably, his music has received support from renowned DJs including Hernan Cattaneo, Dosem, Nora En Pure, and D-Nox. Suiss has captivated audiences with his dynamic DJ sets, enchanting partygoers at prestigious events like Summer Contrast in Poland, EDC Mexico, and Lost Paradise in Thailand. 

Teaming up with his long-time production partner, Peled, "Your Move" embarks on a vibrant sonic journey. The track commences with vibrant, technicolor arpeggios, accompanied by resounding drums and minimalistic percussion. As the momentum intensifies, Avian Haviv's captivating vocals and gentle piano introduce a transformative interlude.

Berlin’s first lady, Anja Schneider, remixes Marbs’ recent hit record, ‘Whitefence’ 

Everyone has their origin story, Anja’s begins with the legendary club, Tresor. After a magical first experience and an epiphany that Techno could be her life’s journey, Anja moved to Berlin and set out to make her dreams come true. Some 30 years later, she has achieved more than she could ever imagine. A DJ throughout the ‘90s, she opened her production portfolio in 2005 with a Sebo K collaboration on her new imprint, Mobilee, a label which would become seminal. After 12 years at the helm, she launched her new venture SoUs and continues to push a warm, richly musical, tech sound. 

For her remix, Anja strips the original back to basics and injects a a ton of funk. Opening with wonky fx and a tough kick, subtle disco bass and vocal ad libs keep it groovy, baby. Riding the automation, the bassline mutates and envigorates to the break where a moment of calm is broken by a dancefloor of happy clubbers dancing their troubles away. A classic sound from the queen of clubland!

Hailing from the beautiful city of Mexicali, the two guys behind AMFM (MX) are known and loved for their energetic productions that carry a lot of flavour. Their incredible soundscapes have led them to release on labels such as Bunny Tiger and Phisica, and now they are ready to join the Desert Hearts Black family with a two-track EP.

The title track "IAM" is a collaboration with none other than the Chicago House legend Robert Owens himself. A funky bass and catchy drums set the scene for Robert's characteristic vocals. It is a tune that slowly builds tension, before melting into a full break-infused goodness. The enchanting vocals keeps us dreaming while we are driven into the night by the acid line that sets in alongside the pumping yet minimalistic groove.

"Billy's Kills" packs a real punch. An edgy bassline takes the lead and dark, atmospheric synths throb and develop through the track while the drums keep upbeat and crisp. The hypnotising melodic elements bring us a deeper flavour and the synths add an air of mystique that dynamically shifts as the song unfolds.

Two excellent tracks that will bring the enigmatic and layered AMFM (MX) sound to clubs and festivals across the globe.

It is those otherworldly moments of early morning reflection that embody the sound and direction of the label’s newly founded subsidiary, Desert Hearts Black. The label has been announced today as a creative outlet for Desert Hearts founder Marbs and fellow venturer into the deeper and darker avenues of electronic music, Evan Casey. Those who have attended Desert Hearts’ flagship festival will know Marbs and Evan from their iconic late-night sets that have become an essential part of the event’s trajectory and avant-garde appeal. DH Black will keep course with the vibe that these performances have crafted, merging the connectivity of the brand’s core ethos with the melodic and psychedelic sounds of tomorrow. 

In Marbs’s own words on the launch of the label, “The primary intention of Desert Hearts Black is to open up more opportunities for the community to experience and participate in the late night and early morning music heard at the festival over the years. Currently, Desert Hearts Records has represented our house community to the fullest and we want to provide that same outlet for those in our family who enjoy heavier, darker, more journey driven sounds.  
   
Someone special to me once said, ‘We can easily find our way in the light, but in the darkness is where we can truly discover who we are.’ Those moments of self discovery, especially within music, have shaped who we are and how we see the world around us. This project is aimed at creating immersive experiences, of both sound and setting, to take people deeper and reach into the far corners of the genres we love so much.”

The new label will be minted by a collaborative three-track release from Marbs, Rinzen, and Evan Casey, ‘Torus’ EP, due out August 9. In celebration of the release, the trio of cosmonaut producers have released a stream of its title track, an ethereal and haunting journey into their shared cryptic psyche. Marbs and Evan have been joined by Rinzen on the debut release, a producer who has seen a momentous trajectory through his narrative based concept EPs on mau5trap and releases via key European labels like Berlin’s Steyoyoke and London’s Chapter 24 Records. 

Desert Hearts Black will host a release party for the EP on August 9 in Downtown Los Angeles’ warehouse district - a fitting locale for the dark trip in store.
