We are proud and grateful to announce our next mystical guide in the spiritual journey, our deeply spiritual brother, Astropsyhe! He is an artist and visionary, with a seeker's soul and a servant's heart.  He originates from Ukraine, but is now home in many places in the world!

He also had  a career as Maritime Professional and started exploring the world at the age of 18 on the trading vessels. 

Music always was his passion, since he remembers himself, it was escape to mythic and dreamy reality from the ordinary world.  He played the guitar and had a teenage rock-band, and took some lessons, but finally it didn’t stick. 

11 years later he spent 3 years learning Vedic Astrology to understand that music and art plays vital part for realization his individual Purpose.  Yoga and Shamanic practices facilitated the healing and allowed to embrace his nature and overcome various psychological blocks.

He is sharing his knowledge  in Yoga, Philosophy, Psychology to facilitate the inner-dialogue with our Psyche. He uses Vedic Astrology (Ancient Psychology) to help navigate the road to the Individual Purpose to all the Seekers. 

In his DJ sets he aims to activate the Ecstatic Principle, which brings the Transcendence and Joy, while awakened. 

He started mixing in 2022 in Koh Phangan with his «Ecstatic Goddess» sets.   The emotional cocktail served during his sets may be dark, melodic then uplifting, euphoric and finally hypnotic and meditative, inspired by ethnic and tribal motives of cultures he lived in -  releasing full emotional spectrum, facilitating the sensual ex-stasis, which triggers the soul exploration  full of insights.

The mood of this journey is a wondrous mix of emotions.  Astropsyhe explores intentionally, moving in and out of deeply inner, personal spaces and into incredibly expansive and powerful outer spaces.  There are dynamic and trippy energies and deep flow states in this journey, but also moments of breathtaking, pure, crystal clear illumination.  Astropsyhe leads us into cosmic bliss and soaring hope by the end of the journey.  THIS is the ecstatic state!

Welcome to my special storytellers' mix series, called "Ancient Hearts", which tells stories from many cultures, invoking the heart and soul of our ancestors, which are rooted in the ancient melancholic sound, which speak of the great suffering in life, BUT also arrive, in the end, at a home full of love and life and joy.

Through exploring the sound of various cultures, we begin to see the same spirit, message, and meaning among the people. We must travel through our sorrow to truly find joy. We must move in relationship with our ancestors' victory in suffering or lose our entire future and hope.

THIS LIVESTREAM
In Greek, "Agio Oros" means "Holy Mountain". I named this final chapter of the Balkanika story because this is where we encounter God on the mountain, the sacred place where man meets the divine, where the prophesy comes alive, where the legends our ancestors passed on to us about the dwelling place of the Gods somehow come alive.

This will be a massive, emotional climax to this epic story that I have been telling through music for the Balkanika series. I feel the spirit in me for this set tonight! Please join me and dance in the spirit! You will hear some of the very best of uptempo Balkan electronica, both old and new, played with a unique new vision from my heart, with live instrumentals and great passion! Desert Raven, a multi-instrumentalist DJ-Producer based in Denver, Colorado, is the founder of the Mystical Vision music collective (https://soundcloud.com/mystical-vision-podcast), which grew out of the Primordial Grooves music collective, which itself grew out of the Odyssey Music Podcast, which he co-founded with Dirlasion (https://soundcloud.com/dirlasion).

Desert Raven is a musical artist who, for his whole life, has had a deep affinity to dance, to the harmonic and melodic nature of sound, and to the healing and inspiring power of music.  He believes in the power of storytelling as well.  A good song should have a powerful message and journey, with a spirit that moves the listener's soul.  

Desert Raven has grown up and lived around the world, and uses his life experiences in many cultures as the foundation and root of his sound and worldview.

He seeks to create soundscapes with depth and layering of emotion, with extended build-ups and climaxes. He works with music that is primarily longer form and believes that, like our own deeper feelings, good, deep music takes time to surface.  As a storyteller, he embraces the epic storytelling tradition, so his music feels epic in scope and very much like a story.

He seeks the mystical groove in all sounds.  His signature style has grown and matured into an organic, ethnic, psychedelic, trippy sound, with an ancient feel, evoking a mystical vision experience.  He still seeks to explore new soundscapes where possible.  He is a versatile artist.  He has released songs in several genres, from organic house to downtempo to slowtech to psybient to progressive house to melodic techno.  Overall, he seeks to bring the audience close, making even larger events feel like an intimate party among close friends and family, where trust, love, and freedom of spirit are paramount.

His personal approach to composition and production is to infuse deeper, more ambient sounds into all he does, to evoke nature and dreams. He believes ethnic, traditional instruments should be used as much as possible and that they can work beautifully with well-crafted electronic sounds. A bass player at heart, he seeks to create rhythm and harmony that penetrates to the heart and brings the heart of the listener and dancer to a level of energy in sync with, as mentioned earlier, deep feelings. He seeks to find and bring the listener to a place of natural, spiritual illumination, where the listener encounters healing, encouragement, and divine purpose.
