Did a simpler edit of this a few years ago, this one's a more recent one that re-arranges the Pied Piper Edit which was more of an instrumental version. This one combines the Original with it. Much respect to 'The Piper'.... I'm a fan =)

Lamont Dozier's iconic 1977 song "Back to My Roots" was an underground Disco smash made famous by the great DJ Larry Levan from The Paradise Garage and Club Zanzibar days. I've always played and liked this gem that was buried in my parents record collection when I was growing up. In my later years I have revisited this tune gaining an even greater appreciation for Dozier's genius! :-)

I came upon the original here http://soundcloud.com/lin-taylor/cant-get-you-out-of-my-head on Lin Taylor's SC page who posts some great modern indie soul if you are interested.

The track really reminds of Dina Carroll................(or maybe I'm just in a drunken haze again!), so kept an old school feel to the mix.

Beefed this up a bit, extended it out, added some horns, some synths....................aww hell, I threw the kitchen sink at it!
