Am 24.2.22 von 20 bis 22 Uhr feiern wir den internationalen EBM DAY mit einem „Electronic Body Music“- Special auf SecondRadio. Live durch die Sendung führen Euch Kai Hawaii, seines Zeichens langjähriger DJ und Szene-Spezialist aus Hannover und "DER" Szene Moderator Ecki Stieg, bekannt durch seine Radiosendung „Grenzwellen“ (Radio Hannover, früher radio ffn).
Die Beiden spielen 2 Stunden lang "Electronic Body Music" und liefern interessante Infos und Anekdoten zur Geschichte dieser Musik. 
Die Electronic Body Music – kurz EBM – hat eine bewegte Geschichte hinter sich: Ende der 80er war der Stil richtig populär, im Zuge der 90er Technobewegung wurde die Richtung dann mehrmals vorschnell verabschiedet, um mit Beginn des neuen Milleniums wieder eine wachsende und treue Fanschar zu vereinen.

The track is an extraordinary soundscape that encapsulates meandering through a glacial valley. Incorporeal pads are layered and cocooned by a beguiling vocal whose lilt forms the raft that carries the listener through the terrain.

Meeting with the others in the shrine filled the air with tension. Everybody who mattered was supposed to come and join the conversation at The Round Table. Many have tried to enter, but the doors open only every hundred years if touched by the energy and all of them. It was crucial not to be late. The Blind Emperor and her convoy had to hurry and move forward. Her mind filled with thoughts: Will they all come? Have they changed? Is the monumental and mysterious shrine as they have said? Nobody knew what was going to happen inside, but everyone knew it would change everything.

About the album The Round Table (Blind Emperor remix album)

Early this year, Berlin-based artist The Allegorist came out with her 4th album, Blind Emperor. The layered project used the power of soundscapes to create a detailed fictitious story of a mythical land that trudges through struggles on its way to revelations of prosperity. The protagonist, Blind Emperor, leads the charge into a brighter tomorrow in a textured aesthetic of an epic, cinematic, choral, ambient techno album. Anna Jordan (The Allegorist) has a holistic approach to her projects. She created the album art, wrote an included story and composed a poem that all combined to tell the imperial fantasy.

In another component of the aggregate story, The Allegorist is releasing The Round Table, a Blind Emperor remix album, including animations of an eclectic mix of coloured smoke representing each featured artist. She has also crafted a short story to go with the record, which depicts the origin of Blind Emperor's momentous gathering. Six enthralling artists each take a track from the original album and reimagine them in their interpretation. The remixed work adds another chapter to the fable of Blind Emperor with new layers of edge, tension, divulgence, plot and twisting paths added through the much- anticipated meeting.

Ostalgia is Rhys Fulber’s second album for Sonic Groove following the success of last year’s Your Dystopia, My Utopia. Like its predecessor, it continues his interest in pushing new boundaries in industrial techno, with kicks and bass lines woven together with clinical precision to cause intense speaker pressure, and atmos- pheric synth lines that will dig deep inside your mind. The title and the original socialist realism mural on the cover refer to Ostalgie - a romantic nostalgia for the old but comforting ways of Communist East Germany - and a yearning for rigid systems after progression into the future has led to chaos and uncertainty.

While the music on Ostalgia is at times a reflection of that chaos and uncertainty, it also refers to Rhys further exploring his Germanic ance- stry. And although the sledgehammer beats of 12 Steppes and Fission evo- ke Rhys’ previous work with industrial pioneers Front Line Assembly, he is not simply paying homage to his past musical escapades here. This is forward-looking music, not content with resting on any past ideologies.
