OK EG  turn inwards on Silent Green, their new release on Kia's ambient label, Cirrus. Written for a live performance in Berlin, Silent Green finds balance between intimate post club dream states and low tempo rhythmic workouts.

Fragmented voices harmonise with delicate synths and organic textures on open sky.
Wooden machinery clicks and whirs on veil, opening into an inner expanse.

Optimistic warmth and melancholy blend on spirit, knitted with resonant hi hats, scrolling
wavetables and dubbed claves.

Sequenced hand drums and piccolo snares create structure for rising pads and analog bass on death adder, as subtle grooves unfurl under the watchful gaze of digital crows.
The artwork, created by the Amsterdam based digital artist @tharimcornelisse , finds the cycle of life and death in the artificial environment of a greenhouse, digitally blended with patch notes from the first time the music was performed.

With the original release of ‘The Difference it Makes’ racking up more than a million Spotify streams, the 2004 hit track by The MFA has been remixed and remastered.

Original MFA Mix:
One of Pitchfork’s top 50 tracks of 2004, Resident Advisor described it at the time as, “Beautiful slices of dubby-tech house with compressed guitars and abstract sliced vocals. From start to finish, the track is minimal in nature. I like it, and I think you will too... The MFA has created something of a hidden gem.”
The record went on to receive support from Gerd Janson, Carl Cox, BLOND:ISH, Sven Väth, James Holden, Michael Mayer, Tim Sweeney, Dusky, Ata, Joseph Capriati, Robag Wruhme, Henry Saiz, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Jody Wisternoff, James Grant, Joe Goddard, and more.

IKARIA est une île grecque qui fait partie de ces endroits dans le monde où l’on compte le plus de centenaires. Ce mode de vie lié à ces zones bleues m’inspire grandement. 

C’est avec cette mentalité de centenaire que j’ai composé le 1er titre de l’EP. J’avais envie de retranscrire le calme d’une belle journée ensoleillée. Une journée sans stress dans un cadre idyllique, au bord de l’eau. 
Ce 1er titre se veut très spirituel dans un but de méditation et de relaxation. Fermez les yeux et laissez vous portez par l’ambiance et l’univers d’IKARIA.

J’ai vraiment aimé l’expérience de produire une musique dans ce style ambient, alors j’ai voulu en faire une 2ème version.
Tout en gardant la richesse du 1er titre, j’avais envie d’avoir une version que je peux utiliser dans mes dj sets. Un rythme plus rapide avec des percussions et des synthés un peu plus groovy. La recette idéale, reprenant les bases de la organic house, qui permet de profiter de ce morceau aussi bien pour un afterwork qu’un coucher de soleil automnal.
