This is about how persons tell Black people that we over react to acts of racism and how we should let the past go- which gets me to ask: do people know why I feel so angry, sad? Do people know why we chant "Black Lives Matter".... perhaps we must show them 1st..... "Why Black Lives don't Matter." Maybe that'll open a heart.

This is for the white people who don't believe they have White privilege.
*Not meant to guilt trip but to enlighten. 

When I say: "That works best for you & not for me?"
I'm saying: I want you to support systems that come with the best benefits for you and I, equally.

*I know it came off one sided so I had to clear that up.

I wanted to make songs that I could write to, sounds both relaxing and emotionally inspiring.

I named it Keeping My Head Up because it's really inspired me.

This poem talks about how to combat bullying through letting your kids know at an early age that they're beautiful, and have much potential, and telling them to keep that in mind. This way, they can grow up as adults with good self esteem.

I cannot imagine the guilt a parent must feel to know their kid walks through the hallways with their head down 
Picture your niece, being pushed around- someone telling her that she should no longer be around
You see that sweet angelic smile form into a frown.

By someone who won’t even see her in town
Has made her life- for 7 hours- sour.

He has a good heart at home
But at school he has to swing fists

Standing up for his friends gets tiring
He’s exhausted- 
Only 9 years old, feeling adult feelings 
Kids haven’t even lived a decade 
Yet, already want to fade
Hate. 
We must fade hate.
We can only do it by increasing our love
Increasing our hugs, increasing our hugs, holding our little love bugs
Concrete roses are still beautiful and stone butterflies cannot fly, but they’re still admirable-
And if he knows he is, then he can hold the weight his difference from others
Has forced him to carry, in public-
But it’s up to you to love them in purity 
While constantly reassuring them to never give up
By letting them know what they’re good at
That they’re "kind" to look at
And if they ever went missing
You’d lose yourself, trying to find them.
Kids are a blessing
And it’s up to us to elaborate on that-to their face, about their unique personality and potential. 
And to keep that in mind when someone says otherwise.
SO that they know they’re special when they’re adults.

I experimented with many different sounds on this album- most of the songs lean towards dubstep- which is new to me. But you will still find the usual easy listening style on this album. 

The theme of this album is peace and love, the kind you get from laying on top of water- I try to evoke that in here- while also pointing out when that peace is disturbed and restored.

I Wish You Well (2019)

This song resembles the fast, strong energy that comes with anger, and frustration. But also the unbalanced energy that comes with wanting to give mercy or stay mad. In the journey to giving forgiveness it can feel like we're fighting against ourselves, similar to a machine that has a virus. Like that machine, acts out of character when it's malfunctioning, so do we. This is shown through the various electric sounds. This song ends on a peaceful note, to symbolize the mood of finally forgiving someone or an event and moving forward with peace. The transition is nearly unpredictable because we never know WHEN we're going to forgive, sometimes it just happens. We travel to it, it's nothing something we can schedule.  The thunderstorms in the song symbolize the forces that push us out of our comfort zone and into anger itself. Because... they're basically raining on our sunny day.
