Last Time on Tidefall...

The group starts separated while going into the underbelly of the City. Salt gets a bad feeling, so he goes back to look for the missing Hera. He tells Flip to make sure the bomb is disarmed, no matter what. 

Salt goes back up top to find the assassin with Hera held by knife. Thanks to the assassin trying to buy time, and some quick thinking from Salt, he was able to shoot a bomb under the assassins feet to free our captured hero. On the journey to the bottom of the city, Nell and Flip actually seem to make up. Flip isn’t sure if the Children of Yantis respect and understand him, but Nell at least seems to be at peace with what Flip did. They hurry to the bottom of the city to find the bomb. 

Then a long and drawn out fight occurs. Hera is shot a few times, Salt destroys the assassin’s specially made knife, and the 2 heroes gang up on the assassin. A few stumbles later, and a bloody fight has taken place. Eventually, the assassin escapes the sight of our heroes. 

Flip finds the bomb, detetmines that a gear timer is waiting and that a steam vent is going to set off a batch of chemicals. He redirects the steam so that most of it is being shot away from the bomb, buying himself some time. But a backup valve is still an issue. He sets up a welder-like modification to Nell’s electro-zapper and the 2 get to work disassembling the bomb before the backup goes off. 

Back up top, the assassin seemed to be grabbing bombs. In order to keep them safe, Salt grabs Hera and jumps out a window. They get some backup from Rasmusson, and go back inside to stop the assassin once and for all. But they are gone. 

Right as Flip seems to be finished disarming the bomb, a figure looms above. But instead of Salt or Hera, he sees a cloaked figure.

RAWSTYLE  INTHAMIX 155 DECEMBER 2023

🇫🇷  Ce matin, nous avons le retour du vent plus modéré. Cette nuit c'était un peu la folie, ça ne correspondait pas aux prévisions du tout avec 38 nœuds de vent tout à fait inattendu… Est ce que c’est un grain, est ce que ça va passer ou durer ? Et tout la nuit c’était comme ça, de vraies montagnes russes.
Dès que le bateau dépasse les 18 nœuds, la quille siffle, au-delà de 20 nœuds, elle crie, et au-delà elle chante. Et avec toutes les accélérations, décélérations, le bateau vibrait, sifflait, chantait dans tous les sens. C’est comme si j’étais au premier rang d’un concert de death metal ! Donc content d’avoir “que” 22 nœuds actuellement comme attendu ! 
Il commence à faire un peu plus froid aussi, je porte enfin un tee-shirt et ça fait plaisir. Avec mes gênes, je ne suis pas fait pour l’équateur ! Justement, en 3 jours, on a doublé notre distance en latitude par rapport à l’équateur et la Martinique, donc ça signifie bien qu’on remonte vers la maison !

🇬🇧 This morning, we have the return of a more moderate wind. Last night was a bit crazy, it didn't match the forecast at all, with 38 knots of wind, totally unexpected... Is it a squall, is it going to pass or last? And all night it was like that, a real roller-coaster ride.
As soon as the boat exceeded 18 knots, the keel whistled, above 20 knots it screamed, and beyond that it sang. And with all the acceleration and deceleration, the boat was vibrating, whistling and singing in all directions. It was like being in the front row of a death metal concert! So I'm happy to have "only" 22 knots at the moment, as expected! 
It's starting to get a bit colder too, and I'm finally wearing a T-shirt, which feels good. With my genes, I'm not made for the equator! In fact, in 3 days, we've doubled our latitudinal distance from the equator and Martinique, so that means we're heading for home!
