The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada with their much requested take on Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’. As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever. DE SOFFER is the creative vehicle of Tel Aviv producer Omri Soffer, five years ago his unofficial remixes began spinning at clubs around the world, and they've never stopped.
Guided by his elder brother since the age of 10, Music and Deejaying was his main focus as he grew up. Entering into the throbbing heartbeat of the city as he branched out behind the decks, he began to understand how to move and direct the dance floor with his fluid and dynamic style. As he grew more experienced, it was a natural progression to move into the recording studio and begin the DJ Producer journey.
Throwing his talents at doing Edits and Remixes, his tracks have been played all over the world but it is not until 2024 that he has taken the steps to release his official tracks to the world. Beginning with "Lost In The Night"- a dreamy after-hours jam that pairs a nu-disco groove with classic 80's electro-pop vibes. He is following that up with a Nu-Disco Cover of the 80s classic by French vocalist Desireless. Showing all the hallmarks of the icons of the game Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, he has left no stone unturned by upgrading the tracks for a new generation of clubbers.
As the year rolls out, make no mistake; DE SOFFER will connect old and new generations of clubbers with his glorious blend of beats, bass, strings and synths. Paying homage to those who have gone before him, reach out and touch the music of DE SOFFER. It is an experience that will never leave you.
