As we near the end of August I am starting to consider what lessons have been learnt this month.  A pitch class set approach based on each day will work, but is there enough variety for a 30 minute piece?  Now multiply that by 12.  What do I need to consider for a 6 hour work?  Is an evolving ambient experience worthy?  What do you think?

Well, here's the long story:

I wrote the first half of this song back in january, and that was what ended up on the famicompo pico 4. Then, after procrastinating for about a month, because i wasn't sure what else i could do to this song, i wrote everything after the 2:30 mark in the past 7 days.

I had time to work on this song, because i've got a cold, and i'm still sick, so i just want to end this already. Sorry about the ending, i just want to be done with it for now, maybe if i release a kind of compilation album in the future, i will do something else to it, but for now it is done.

Now about the song itself. I would say that this is my best work so far, combining my old dnb style and newer melody-driven "rock/metal" thing that i've been into recently. 

Also, it's HEAVILY inspired by the DM DOKURO stuff - the main part even sounds way too close to a particular song of his and it wasn't intentional. I felt that i've heard something similar, but i only found out which song it was after i listened to his last album.

I came up with the main melody in the past year. It was a 30 seconds loop which i've abandoned, only to pick it up in January to participate in fcp4 and make it into a dnb showoff in about a month.

And one last thing. I guess i will get personal, but i will say it anyway. If not for the DM DOKURO and his works, this song wouldn't exist, at least not in the way it is turned out to be.

So yeah, dude, if you're reading this, i want you to know - you're really good at what you're doing. I still have some of your songs stuck in my head, and i enjoy it :P
