Ice Cycles is taken from my album Sketches. Sketches is an instrumental album written in late 2023 - early 2024.

As has been my modus operandi of late, I had no intention of releasing these tracks when I started writing them - it was an outpouring of ideas, all of which I realised held a deep and personal meaning to me. It was only when I stopped and came back after a month or two that I realised that, yes, this is something people might want to hear. For me, it is the sound of autumn & winter condensed. Almost every track was created using original sound sources, and every track captures a very precise moment in my life.

Written during the winter months of 2023/2024, each "sketch" encapsulates a particular moment in time. Each track was born from an idea or a sound that piqued my interest - crunching leaves. The silence after snowfall. Children running home after school. Gentle rain. A ticking clock.
