UK mainstay Denney steps up to Rekids, backed with remixes by Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Denney's name is synonymous with quality, with previous productions landing on labels such as 8bit Records, Crosstown Rebels, and Nothing Else Matters. For his latest release, Denney teams up with London-based actress and singer Charlotte Riby to craft ‘Catch The Heat’ for Radio Slave’s Rekids, backed with two killer remixes from Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Across 'Catch The Heat' Riby's vocals bring a touch of old-school class to a warm and soulful House track, steeped in New York history with fresh production flourishes that are sure to make it an anthem this summer and beyond.

On the flip is Nic Fanciulli’s remix, the Saved Records boss, who turns the original into a more techno-leaning cut with the vocals taking on a gospel quality over pulsing drums. German duo Frankey & Sandrino’s interpretation rounds out the release with a dramatic trip dripping with elegance that will have the dance floor in raptures.

Four cultured electronic producers, Emanuel Satie, Maga, Sean Doron and Tim Engelhardt, combine to great effect once more for the latest sizzling single on their Scenarios label.

This classy musical collective launched in April 2022 to represent a new generation of artists that function as a whole while still maintaining their individuality. They are four of melodic dance music’s leading talents, and they now produce together and run the label and event series of the same name. Each has a distinctive feel with a real focus on the details, from the invitations to the scenery and production of the events. Musically, as proven by early tracks like 'Side By Side' and 'Looking in the Sky', the collective is focused on rich melody, dynamic synths and tightly sequenced percussion over persuasive tribal drums that stay true to their mantra of creating emotionally-charged music for an unparalleled dance floor experience.

The magnificent 'All The Time' is the sort of quietly intense and steamy house cut that will have the floor in rapture. The impassioned vocal brings plenty of heart and soul as the rolling beats provide a slick groove foundation. Subtle filters and background vocals flesh it out further to ensure maximum impact. It's meticulously designed yet effortlessly hypnotic from start to finish.

This four-way collaboration is a house triumph with old-school values and new-school grooves.

In this spirit, DESSERT wants to give something back: queer artist CENKK’s remix of Rui da Silva’s 90s Trance classic ‘Touch Me’ encapsulates the ecstasy of the golden age of Techno in a stripped, modern framework. Casualities was originally released back in 2007 as a part of Phonique’s Good Idea album, with vocals from Kings of Convenience and Whitest Boy Alive’s Erlend Øye. 

Now, 16 years later, the Ukrainian duo YAME share a remix that brings a totally new take to this classic track. 

YAME are Victor Kiriiakidi and Oleksandr Seletskyi - a unique duo that have been blowing up dance floors with their cosmic indie dance sound. 

Here they let loose on the source material - cutting up and manipulating the vocal into a highly energetic and fun electro /disco influenced banger.

L.A-based producer Reza Safinia teams up with Ukrainian veteran The Organism on ‘Pandora's Sox', a quirky track which surprises at every turn.

Intertwined melodies first introduce the tune on a steady groove, that's brought to a hush by a husky acapella. That's where the full power of the tune is unleashed with a stripped-back drop sure to cause damage on the dancefloor.

Completing the release is a dub mix, where the trippy arpeggio is left aside in favour of a straight to the floor introductory groove. The prevalent drums of this alternate version highlights its distinctive textures and ad-libs.
