Chubby! Podcast004 comes direct from Chicago, via Estimuloshow residents; Victor Aguinaga AKA Chicagodeep and Nick Marshall AKA Taelue.

Victor and Nick have been collecting records for years, with Vic boasting over two decades of experience DJing and over a decade for Nick. Production wise, their first appearance on Ernie's respected Label; Minuendo Recordings was an incredible release which completely sold out as soon as it hit the stores.

Recently Victor and Nick have started their own imprint; 'Perpetual Rhythms', their first pressing 'Secret Elements EP' kicks off with Firecracker boss Linkwood providing an edit on a collaborative track from Specter (Tetrode) & Chicagodeep, also featured on the release are two originals from Taelue and one from Chicagodeep - a follow up EP is expected to be out later this year.

A long time favorite producer coming from Chicago , co-owner of the label Perpetual Rhythms. @taelue

Nick has been providing his deep and mesmerising deep house/techno tracks since his first release in 2013 with his friend Victor alias Chicagodeep on Spanish label Minuendo.  They quickly launched together the Perpetual Rhythms imprint which has been a favorite label from the latest decade.  Nick has been really shaping his own sound. Deep, dark, soulful and powerful melting together influences of Chicago like Larry Heard with some more raw or minimal, techno feelings coming from Detroit like Jeff Mills, Rob Hood also with a huge love for hip hop and obviously dark, jazzy things.

Enjoy this really dope mix a perfect mixture of mainly U.S deep house and techno.

Aaron Paar was born in Nottingham, England and emigrated to Los Angeles in 1980. Aaron has been an active figure in the Los Angeles DJ, underground club and recording scene since the early 90's. With a family music background as well as strong underground club roots in the LA community. Aaron continues to stay at the forefront of cutting edge music cultures across many styles within the Soul spectrum.

 

Aaron fell in Love with Hip Hop and the art of DJ'ing in 1984 and never looked back. He got his start spinning during the early 90′s rave/loft scene in LA while also hosting a House Music show on KXLU Radio called Stomping Grounds. While working at Beat Non Stop records he also was able to sell his personal mix tapes to people around the world via the store. Fueled by the records and sounds of a very potent House Music sound, Aaron decided to take his own adventure into production and created his imprint Worldship Music in 1995 and in 1996 formed the Teflon Dons along with Dave Fogg and Greg "ski" Royal. producing seven 12" Singles along the way with various remixes and tracks for other labels. Early in 2019 the label has been relaunched with 3 new vinyl releases starting with a 7'' reissue of "Tomorrow People" Featuring Gregory Porter, The long awaited "LA Housin' Authority EP" and currently "The Pur Royale Project". 



Around 2002 Aaron decided to come up with an alias which ended up taking a life of its own as DJ Destroyer. The focus was on spinning sets that were based heavily in Hip Hop & Beats mixed with other genres. Aaron joined Mash Up pioneers the Inhumanz and took blending sounds and genres seamlessly in clubs and bars around the globe. 

DJ Aaron Paar was founder and chief resident of Strictly Social, one of LA's longest running and premier eclectic Soul nights. Strictly Social has brought independent artists such as Sa Ra, Lisa Shaw, Sy Smith, Zo!, Joi, and Sango to name a few while taking it to other cities such as NY, Atlanta and SF.

 

Residencies over the years such as Bounce Rock Skate, Fast Fwd, Blazing 45's, LA's JumpNFunk, Black Gold as well as nights at countless clubs and bars across the city has cemented Aaron’s solid footing in the LA DJ community expressing his unique perspective of music to a new generation of party people. Aaron has DJ'd alongside the likes of DJ Scratch, Kenny Dope, Rich Medina, J Rocc, Dam Funk, Lefto and Shinehead to name a few as well as collaborating with many in the Los Angeles underground DJ scene. 



Aaron is also a member of the highly respected DJ collective Umoja Hi-Fi Soundsystem who continue to spread the Sound of Unity throughout the LA landscape hosting and guesting at various functions.

 

Aaron is Co Founder of Ximeno Records along with Danny Holloway who have recently made an impression via their all 45/7inch label.

 

Stomping Grounds has recently been resurrected by Aaron at Dublab.com Radio every 2nd and 4th Mondays from 8-10pm.
