DOT is a new label from electronic dub duo Dialog and it kicks off with their own DOT 1 EP. Dialog is a creative exchange between established producers and live artists Samuel van Dijk @mohlao and Rasmus Hedlund @rasmus-hedlund focused on crafting perfect sound. Rastafarian language and culture run deep throughout their explorations as they work with Jamaican vocalist Benji aka Daveron Dawkins who brings his own live and direct reflections on life to the music.

Her engineering expertise has spanned sessions involving mastering, mixing, and other intricate tasks for the studio's high-profile clientele. It's about a man who will die that night 'George' and how two doctors try to help him over his fear of dying. After George passes away they shoot a flare to symbolise his spirit moving on. Antecedent — ‘a thing that existed before or logically precedes another’. Having rediscovered her inner musical voice, Rachel Palmer composes expansive soundscapes with intimate and melancholic undertones. Her organically structured rhythms are met by billowing synths that invoke the feeling of breathing in a slow-motion dream-state. Textural layers of granular voices blended with gentle melodies and deep bass lines are the culmination of her innermost inspirations. Previously having shifted her creative outlet to work almost exclusively on visual art, stopping nearly all music composition, the return of her musical inspiration was influenced by meeting the love of her life, relocating across the Atlantic Ocean, experiencing new culture, and ‘finding home’.
